Let's give Perfect World/Cryptic an idea how much $ they have lost, post here if you were planning on purchasing the Delta pack, but decided NOT to because of their actions.
Better yet, state if you plan on EVER spending $ on this game again.
I for one, will NOT be spending any more $ on this game.
Well, I decided not to, but not for any malice or dissatisfaction towards Cryptic. I just didn't want a bunch more ships I'll never use sitting around. I've got too many of those already from my earlier years playing the game. Besides, I'll pay less overall just buying the two or three ships I want.

I never understood the logic behind these kinds of threads... only because (in the context of donations, which is the exact opposite but can be used in THIS context) bragging about something that is better worth being kept out of the forum only works to feed the ego of the person who speaks it. $0.02
WELL IF THE JAPORI INCIDENT HAS TAUGHT ME ANYTHING, IT'S THAT MY EXISTENCE IS AN EXPLOIT. THANKS CRYPTIC.
IF YOU ARE READING MY SIG - THEN YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG
might would have got the pack had it had more than 2 rom ship should have been called fed DR pack ask for spending money had to say with cryptic nerf batting any and every thing here of late
I'm on the fence on this one, think the DR Bundle is "NOT" worth its weight in gold. The simple fact that they kept adding to it just to generate sales should tell you how unpopular this bundle set is, almost comparable to the Dyson Solanae MEGA ship pack.
The ships are unoriginal, basically flatten version of existing ones or uninspiring looking, not aesthetically appealing. The Guardian class and the canon Dauntless class are the only real eye openers for me, everything else is toilet TRIBBLE in design and concept. The intelligence uniform are by far one of the worst design ever, while the Talaxian outfits are simply not popular enough to keep one interested.
Then there is the matter of the three free ship upgrade tokens, which in my opinion should have been 4 for such a large investment. Since 4 tokens are valued at 20 bucks. I guess my real gripe is that my past CStore purchases are nullified by both the new concepts and Cryptic's desire to generate more ships sales.
Let's face it folks, there are no more canon designs to make ships out of, what we have here is Cryptic's wonderland designs which are becoming uglier by the minute. A poster mentioned the game cease to be Star Trek a long time ago and has become a Frankenstein mishmash of a sci fi genre, loosely based off other popular sci fi games, Star Trek among them.
Going back to the OP original question, it is becoming harder and harder for me to invest in ships etc... not because I cannot afford it, but because of Cryptic's direction with the game and its sole bait, which are ships, and they are running out of those quickly.
Expect a few remaining canon vessels to hit the lineup, but mainly from kitbash types and/or concept designs. From here on out are Cryptic's own design types which steal from the original canon types, basically giving you more of the same but re-skins in disguised.
That sci stealth vessel is ugly as sin, and it is a re-skin of earlier designs, look harder.
A note to Cryptic -> If you really want to venture outside the box, then experiment with new designs, Trek ships do not necessarily have to have two nacelles, nor Klingon vessels need to be vorcha looking all the time. Do not be afraid to test the waters with new design types, new geometry types and not rely on the same old based mold.
Examples of new design models are:
Typhon Carrier design
Valkyrie fighter design, but on a ship like bigger scale, etc...
Some folks will hate me for saying this but even the new BSG design for heavy cruisers etc.. Though I do not want the Battlestar exactly as is, just saying, general designs, heck invent your own in shape and form.
Small examples and probably bad ones, but at least they aren't totally Trek typical.
Honestly, it's way off the charts too expensive. A brand new game is $50-60 for a top of the line type of game. An expansion for a game like that is at most $39. $125 for content in a game that many of us have already put hundreds of dollars into is ridiculous. I could have seen a pack for maybe $40, but $125 is straight out greed. Sorry, but I don't see it in any other way. And I'm a huge fan of the game.

I'm sure they assumed this expansion would be a cash grabbing goldmine (as it was designed), but, by all evidence, it seems like it's having a very negative effect.
In other words, people aren't as stupid as was assumed. And those that are, have people explaining things to them.
Sorry, but the Federation-skewed pack is not worth it to me.
More Fed ships than Rom and KDF combined? -strike one.
$125 for some digital shinies, when BRAND NEW games (without all this 'never fixed' buggy mess), on better engines, cost half? -strike two.
Everything being heavily monetized/time gated despite having dropped $125? -strike three.
Oh, I'm limiting it to 3 strikes, though it has several innings' worth of head-scratching fail.
I wasn't planning on wasting money on a ship pack. In fact once my ships become totally useless i will say goodby to the game. And i can see that happening. Soon we will have t7 t8 t9 and on and on. Nothing will be free ever again in this game. DR is an meh xpack build around new items in the c store. So they will put out xpack's like this for free and all the ships and gear will be in the c store for that xpack. No other mmo does that.
I was strongly considering purchasing one til the expansion actually went live. After playing the new content for a couple hours, I decided against it. I bought my Sci the Intel science vessel and I think that's about as far as I'm going.
I mentioned it in the other thread...trying to boycott threads like this is impossible...they're just so delicious - it's like some sociological study. I wonder if some alien species will come across our desolate planet in the future, happen upon a database copy of the forum, and not need to question why our species died out...

...
IMHO the presales of DR are a massive "fail".
They did several mistakes in the promotion area:
-No KDF Mini-Pack (some may take the "18 %" argument here, but i bet not many of these "18 %" spent a LOT of money on a lot ships they don't need)
-No Romulan Mini-Pack (we have a lot of Romulan-Only Players as well as a lot of Fed and KDF players with Romulan alts)
- last but not least: a Fed-only "Mini"-Pack, sorry, but it really think that a price for a Expansion with *three* digits scared a lot of people away!
(I would have bought a Rom and KDF Mini-Pack, but have no interest in a small fleet of ships i don't need)
I would have been seriously tempted to buy that pack if:
-it would contain the Dauntless as a Cross Faction Ship (it's constructed using the Schematics of a Starship of Alien Origin)
- we could have Starship Traits as Account Unlock, in that case i would even dust off a few of my feds.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...

Neverwinter does this... wait a minute... isn't that a PWE game too? I smell a rat
I never planned on buying it. I don't have any interesting to want a full set of all the avail intel ships and such or anything else in the pack. To be honest I'm considering at this point of cancelling my subscription if things do not improve before my next renewal. The combined dil earning nerf and massive dil sinks to level gear together make it seem to expensive to built up all my toons. While I will pay for entertainment, the entertainment value far exceeds what the cost projection is. As such I am considering taking my STO budget and moving into other forms of entrainment.

spending more than 30 dollars on a broken game is a sign of broken logic.
Not really planning to here either, and after today, not really planning to buy much for a long while at least, even if I stay around.
"You've paid lots of money into this game! Now pay us a whole metric crapton more!" No thanks. My pockets aren't that deep. Especially not for a subsidiary of a company from that place where stuff happened in 1989.
Oh, and yes, I'm sure you "didn't read" the 'bye' thread, Trendy. Not allowed to read anything against the company propaganda I know.
I am not a big spender, only $60 a month, but let me play the game my way. Besides it's an EXPLOIT if one a few players are doing it but everyone is doing it. STO doesn't offer enough Reputation marks or Exp points not to do the dreaded "exploit". What a load of drool.
CRY/PW wants everyone to spend money and they think if everyone is doing Delta then the players will spend more money. But players are already spending the money and those that are rising in the ranks will spend their money in Delta as well. How selfish of CRY/PW to remove game elements that new STO players need. It seems like it's all about "me", meaning higher players, and it's not just about YOU.

How many times was it suggested or asked about, that there be minipacks? All ignored. Even though they all came with "I will spend money..." somewhere in them.
I'm not sure if I understand why they don't want to make money off of anything that doesn't scream Federation.

There's always one...
You know you still get those same missions and maps without having to buy the DR pack, right? The pack is for ships, uniforms, titles, etc.
And yet, you posted again, yo seems really intresting in this thread.

It is a peculiar phenomenon that we can imagine events that defy the laws of the universe.
What does that tell you?
