So we've had Mugatos(primates) as pets for quite a while now. Not to mention this year's summer event feathermonkeys. Did anyone think of THEM as "enslaved brothers/sisters"?

That probably answers your questions about how Caitians/Ferasans feel about Terran felines.

Ugh Cats (A**holes of the Universe) ... gimme my freaking Beagle already ...

Yes! No one with a soul wants a cat. Bring on the Porthos pets!

Don't believe the lies in this forum. I am NOT an ARC user. I play STO on Steam or not at all.

There are not stupid or intelligent animals. They are just animals. But one thing for sure, cats are smarter than dogs (proven a lot of times). Specially after the last generational stick.

Does this mean Cats are also more intelligent than Humans ... *sigh* Cat Person Logic :P ... moreover Cats simply don't eat Infants, because they can't ... you'll find many cases of Cats eating their dead owner, i.E. :P ...
Hump peoples legs, sniff butts and crotches, scootch their butts across your clean carpet, drink from the toilet then lick your face, eat their own TRIBBLE, viciously maul children/animals/adults with such frequency that laws had to be passed to keep beasts on leashes and locked in yards...

Let's be honest both animals can be portrayed negatively or positively.

Problem is with Dogs it's 99,9% the owner's fault (cause it's not regular behaviour) ... with Cats well most of them are just Jerks ... :P

    This Dog disagrees :

That's because cats commit the Robbery! http://perezhilton.com/teddyhilton/2011-05-04-cat-steal-owners-gold#.VD06it1OKrU

And you can register cats as an emotional support animal, and in some cases, people's emotional states can be construed as a handicap, so cats do help that :p

and barrel-booze is just a myth. Not actually a thing

And you can train a cat to get the paper for you! It's been done

They make the best alarms as well

The thing with Cats & Dogs, are that Cats are White Collar, and Dogs are Blue Collar, and Cats will help by not doing the psychical work, where dogs will do the work themselves :D

Cats will act when they know their meal ticket is in danger

    Cat stops robbery

Saving someone from being drowned? You got me there. Did try to save some leaves from drowning though.

    Cats as service animals.

    Cat fetches newspaper

Bringing a barrel of booze? You got me there again. How about a beer bottle cap?

You right. In fact, i never considered animals just "animals" i respect em even more than most of the humans.. lol. My last cat died 1 year ago, and i still cry some nights. I even made a little memorandum in my room. What i meant was "intelligence" is not a word used on animals, even if some of em are more intelligent than some humans...
