The problem I have with the Intel ships is that everyone will buy them, start leveling them then a couple of months down the line the fleet versions will come out and you will have to start the Mastery system from scratch on the new fleet ship.

After testing I'm sticking with my Constellation and going T5-U.

I'm going to wait till further down the line once more T6 have been released before considering them.

Intel do look fun but I don't want to be chopping and changing ships every two mins in a knee jerk reaction to the latest shiney thing now that the Mastery system comes into play.

    Hey Fellas

i wanted to ask you if someone knows if the Episodes will be playable without beeing near impossible without buying and Upgrade(i have only stock shps.. so afaik nothing to upgrade) and at least right now cant afford a Tier6 Ship if its more than 2000 Zen(what it will be)

i would continue using my Mirror Sovereign until i can afford a Guardian Cruiser

    thx alot

Its really simple - in theory, DR rebalances NPC/Player levels of ability back to where it should be. In practice, it just makes it from an easy even for T1 ships DPS race into a simple for T5 ships DPS race, actual difficulty remains unaltered, just time taken.

Todays 4k DPS mark (the minimum not to fail ISE on timer, plus safety overspill) is now about 20-22k DPS. As a Mirror Star Cruiser can do 22/27k DPS (flown correctly, depends on GDF) your ship will be fine.

Every T5 ship in STO can do New DR content, even new ESTFs - upwards of 80% of players, even after the power leap of DR, will not be able to do new ESTFs. Or ASTFs for that matter.

You bring up an interesting point. You'll have to alternate ships often, in order to level them up equally. With the loadout system as broken as it is -- and devs utterly ignoring the issue -- I'm not sure I like that prospect.

I haven't decided how I am going to play it yet, metaphorically speaking.

Can't picture playing the usual maps - now more health on NPCs, for HALF the dil or yesterday.

Can't picture playing new-elite maps with force failure and ulcer timers and astronomical health for yesterday's dil...

And then, as much as I hate that idea in itself, I am supposed to buy 1000 zen per ship I own, for permission to play?

    Hilarious

I will take free animations for 1000 Alex, then probably marauding for contraband another 3-6 months with a 10 min log-in a day, is what it looks like as of yet.

Don't like un-official star trek ships, don't like rebuying recycled animations I bought 2 years ago and I was kind of hoping for some content too, so we got got problems.

My problem with the T6 ships is this:

Is there a T6 Avenger? No? Why the heck not? The T6 Escort is too squishy (and too Tac heavy), and the T6 Cruiser is, well, a slow boat Cruiser.

    I want a T6 Avenger.

Sure there is, the Qib battlecruiser.
