Delta Quadrant mission SUGGESTION

kamikazi2142kamikazi2142 Member Posts: 52 Arc User
I'm putting emphasis on SUGGESTION because it wouldn't be a Delta Quadrant addition to the game without SOME form of throwback mission...

And why not the one of the greatest episodes of Voyager...

The Year Of Hell

and what better reason than to bring Kate Mulgrew back to Star Trek?

Now you may be thinking:
"But Kami, you derp, in the STO timeline Captain Janeway is long since dead."

aha you're right! but this was already done with the mission "Temporal Ambassador"

somewhere within the area of the battle between the USS Voyager and the Krenim Temporal Weapon Ship an anomaly has formed, with signature characteristics much that of the one found in the Azure Nebula in the Beta Quadrant.

I do hope this is a great idea, and i look forward to hearing that beautiful sultry voice of Kate Mulgrew once again.

Also btw, i've already made Kathryn Janeway in the game, so it shouldn't be that hard, just copy my Bridge officer, boom done, queue the voice acting!!!

WOAH. WHEN DID JANEWAY DIE?

She was supposed to be in deep space overseeing some mission.

I think she died in one of the novels, but she's alive in the STO canon.

Janeway is alive here. the game occasional borrows elements from the novels but its a different story.

    Sorry... Janeway isn't dead...

Now try not to cry... I know it's hard to accept, and we all (some) wish it was true, but it isn't... Shes just fat now.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

i thought the STO timeline was a 1000 years past the most recent anything from Star Trek.

regardless, it would be a back in time mission.

22 years past the most recent Star Trek. How old did you think Tuvok and Worf are?

STO is something like 30 after Voyager now, isn't it? And Janeway died in a Borg war, where she was turned into a Queen...I THINK that Kes had something to do with saving her, but I'm not sure if she's dead or alive. Kate doesn't really do much any more, so it would be great to revive her in STO...maybe in different incarnations. Janeway early on in Voyager's journey, as the Admiral, as the Borg Queen, at her best in Year Of Hell on a battered Voyager, etc. STO is pretty much the child of Voyager...Quantum Slipstream, Prometheus class, Temporal Ships, even the look of the transporters. EMBRACE IT!

I hope you're suggesting this for some future season, because if you're hoping for this to be added to ΔR, you're a little too late. All the missions are set in stone and the voice acting is already recorded.

But, if they can afford Kate Mulgrew, I think this would be a fine way to get her in the game.

well, then i'm all kinds of confused/misled by the Stories of STO... so does that mean that Picard is still alive in STO timeline as well?

Additionally, i think it wouldn't be too hard to cast Kate Mulgrew as Janeway in game, i'm not 100% sure if she's still cast at, but i last seen her most recent casting in "Orange is the new Black" on Netflix?

    Whaaaaaaaaaaat?

How did you get to that conclusion?! It's 2410! The most recent Star Trek was Voyager/Star Trek 2009! 1000 years would put us in the 35th century! No one has ever been that far!
I dont know, he may have simply died of old age by now.

    Human Time?

Did I say human time? I mean our time.

    Because I am human.

I am not a Gorn who tapped into a Federation satellite uplink and have been using it to leak Federation ship designs and battle plans to the glorious Klingon Empire.

How about those local earth world sporting events that do not have dismemberment and cannibalism?

    LOOK! A DISTRACTION!

Star Trek online doesn't consider those borg invasion/Typhon Pact novels canon for its timeline

    Jnaeway isn't dead in STO.

Plus she isn't dead in the novels anymore either.

Then she needs to be brought back. Let her rule the roost! I wouldn't mind her being involved in absolutely everything! Admiral Janeway on ESD, voiceovers on the episodes...E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.

How on earth would people like Harry, Worf and Tuvok still be alive?
