it looks like the EU2-Proxy is down again, this could lead to more load on the main server (see those various threads about bad connections, connection lost and so on). First I did a normal Ping:
>ping eu2.proxy.crypticstudios.com
Ping wird ausgef

If Star Trek Online was an Open-Source (GPL) Game, we would have a low-grind fork.
EU2-Proxy is still down or the routing is still broken... The issue lasts for more then a week now and you are still unable to restart the server or reroute its' traffic in that time?
>ping eu2.proxy.crypticstudios.com

Oh, so this is the problem. Game is literally unplayable because of this. I had a full free day today too.
This problem is not only today, look at the first post...
And this problem is only a problem, if you made these settings in your launcher. If you selected no proxy or a US-proxy, you should be fine, if not: EU1 never worked and EU2 is down.
So, here we go again:

Well, your problem has nothing to do with the proxies, it sounds more like poor QoS-Settings (yours or those from your ISP) or routing-problems. Maybe your ISP is even reducing the bandwidth to Cryptics' Servers.
You should try the US-proxies (maybe your connection becomes better that way).

So the network latency jumps from 4 hundredth of a second to over a second of delay. (And Cryptic recommends a upper limit of 180 ms latency for reliable STO game play...)
Looks like this is cause of the problem, and not the STO Servers. (And Cryptic can't do anything about problems caused by your ISP and the Backbone Providers they decide to use...) Besides complaining to your ISP to try to use a more reliable Internet Backbone provider, the only other thing you can try is to see if using the Europe Proxy option in the Launcher Options menu can bypass the network congestion...

Since it has been down and I have to use the direct connection, I got a lot more lags and disconnects.
At least I want to enjoy Delta Rising with a good connection
