    No... ... ...
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Is a trait and a lieutenant commander or lower bridge officer power really that important? Legitimately asking.

Considering that theres a BO-type that you can't use on your ship: Yes... But because this is the 3'd thread on the matter, and 2'nd one within the last 8 hours, I feel opposed to the idea.

Right, but a non-intelligence T6 wouldn't get a hybrid intelligence slot. I don't even think future T6s are guaranteed to get a hybrid slot at all.

A BOFF type that isn't featured on every tier 6 ship.

Do you guys mean you want the Chimera to be an Intel ship...?

i agree i actually see the devs branching off into new ship ideas for tier 6 such as specialty engineers specialty engineering ships specialty science officers with specialty science ships etc. etc. etc. rinse repeat

That would make it interesting at least... Granted, I don't fly mine though.

But let's be honest... The 5 we know of won't be the last intel ships... Cause it would be an aweful lot of work to put into just 5 ships

Considering that three of the known Tier 6 ships don't have an Intelligence Bridge Officer slot, then Intelligence Bridge Officer slots is not a requirement for Tier 6 status. Intelligence Tier 6 ships have the most advanced cloaking device available and those 3 ships don't have it. Therefore, the only real difference between a Tier 6 and T5-U ship is the console and bridge officer ability. We can obtain starship traits through other methods so it is not an advantage of Tier 6 ships.

Maybe. How many Dyson ships did they have before moving on...?

They did imply that they're gonna do other specialization themes, so even if this is it for Intel ships, more BOFF specializations could arise with new ships. If the vet ships get any kind of specialization upgrade, it IMO would be neat if it were to be tied with the Android BOFF.

To my knowledge, all the T6 ships have at least one 'hybrid' boff slot. The intel ships are simply the only ones that have a Commander slot.

Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.p3OEBPD6HU3QI.jpg

Based on how many traits and Gear kits they've released for economically and time challenged players like myself since said elements were revamped, I am unfortunately concerned that those traits will be too expensive both money and time-wise (for dil conversion) to get my hands on.

I really don't want to be too negative about this, But I don't see myself getting my hands on this gear... Between job, GF, kids, military duties and fleet management There isn't much time for actual grind dil for zen, so I don't see myself being able to earn enough to keep up with the pace... And even if I were, I would most likely hold back, to see what they release next time, in case it would be something I could better use.

Not sure how the Dysons ships factor into this equation though?

I'm not so sure. The Dev blog says standard T6 features are

    Scaling HP
    Starship Mastery passive abilities
    Starship Trait

It lists the hybrid slot separately, but it is still ambiguous. I think Geko talked about in Priority One, but I can't remember what he said.

So a Guardian Cruiser would have an Intelligence Bridge Officer slot? Sorry, but that doesn't make sense. Guardian Cruisers are supposed to be the representative ship of the Federation so it should be the heroic ship while Intelligence ships are to make sure things are going the way the Federation wants.

Oh that's right. Will the non-Intel tier 6 ships have a "specialization-universal" slot, I wonder?

I see some serious combination possibilities in this one...

Simply make the Universal slots on the T6 Chimera Hybrid Universal for any and all existing and future Specializations. (And avoid being bothered by players demanding additional updates.)

Chimera is a main draw for some players to get a LTS; must keep it competitive.

Okay this tired old worn out record over and over and over repeating the same sad tale of woe and nashing of teeth. Look if you hold out for the next new shiney you will never get a shiney. Maybe if you didn't post so much in forums and took that time you spent reading forums and posting in them you may have time to work to get the shiney. :) Fleet management wow really? Maybe hand that off to another fleet member or two. No sympathy from me sorry. :P

I'm mostly interested in a T6 version of Veteran ships in order to gain more customization options.

For the Chimera, I'd be looking for an egineering hull that would feel much more streamlined (i.e.: Akira-like deflector). For the Daeinos... well, making it look more artfully like the Romulan Republic symbol (which the Command Battlecruisers come dagnably close to... but they aren't the Vet ship). For the Peghqu'... well, it's tactical mode needs help in looking less ridiculous.

I know this may be a tall order, because transformations have a role in that too... but those could also be made much cooler as well on the new costume pieces. Imagine something like the Deihu command battlecruiser that could deploy its wings on an hinge - much like the Scimitar - in a peacock-like fashion to expose the plasma lotus' emitters.
