Game is totally unplayable due insane lag and disconnecting. It was perfectly fine yesterday, but today it's a disaster.
I have these results:

Computing statistics for 400 seconds...

If I try to run nettest it starts, writes out that
Ping: 500.1 msec (yup, that's five hundred!)
Port: 80: 3 KB/sec 71 KB/sec 126 KB/sec 500
Port: 80:
And that's all, it doesn't move any further.

However, Speedtest.net comes back with normal results:

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON????
STO is totally unplayable due lag, and disconnects in every few minutes. Swordsman Online barely launches and usually fails to connect to server....
ISP says they can't see any issue on their side. I have no idea what to do. And I have crystalline shards to get...

I think, Now this is my opinon. Nothing solid. Only from my experience.

I have had the same problems before. For some reason after a couple of days they always disappear. Then about 2 months later they come back for a day or 2. I dont know why. I have asked, just like you and NEVER got a response that wasn't 100% vauge or the blame was put on someone else. So if possible just try to ride out the storm. Everything will be fine. Cryptic knows disconnects and server problems means money loss. Thats one thing cryptic goes completely APE $^%% over. It will be fixed. Trust me.

Just some comforting words. I hope.

Thanks for the kind words :)
All I really need is someone to reassure me that the error is on the game's side and not in my hardware. I have no money to spend on a new computer :S

Meanwhile I managed to run a nettest, here are the results:

Not surprisingly, the 'Net Test' shows that you have dismal connection quality to the diagnostic server, which shows that this is a Internet connection path issue, and not related to your hardware... The error also isn't on the game side either, but the Internet path to the game side...

The 'Trace Route' hints that the problem may be the Cogent Boston hub. The complete 'Path Ping' results could easily confirm this... (You did wait 400 seconds for it to finish???)

You could try using the 'Euro Proxy' setting in the Option menu of the launcher, to see if this can bypass the network congestion on your connection path, but this may or may not improve your connection...
