Sometimes you Craft Dual Heavy Cannons with the Modifier (SNARE) or (RAPID). Does anybody know what this means please ?

Thanks in advance for your answers ! :)

I'm not sure about the Snare modifier, but the rapid modifier gives the weapon a chance to use the rapid fire skill without having to use a Boff.

More info can be found here.

    At the bottom there's this:
[Rapid] – This mod gives all of its weapons’ attacks a small chance to trigger a 4 second duration Cannon Rapid Fire buff.

The snare modifier is not mentioned.

Edit: found the info on a fleet website:
[Snare] (Beam, Cannon) - (to target) -4.8% Flight Speed, -4.8% Flight Turn Rate
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I think SNARE reduces the target's flight speed and turn rate.

Yeah, Snare is like a miniature version of the Chroniton Torpedo Proc, but it seems to be a "Double Edged Sword" in that it also seems to effect you (the player) as well.
