    agreed! though the last part hit me:
    It’s easy for people to be gutsy when their identity is hidden. If you do some digging, you can probably find out who the troll really is. This doesn’t mean waging war on the person. What it does mean that without anonymity, they may be a little more hesitant to troll your forum or blog.

    By the way, someday this may not be an issue. There’s talk about limiting online anonymity with legislation here in the U.S. and it’s already happening in countries like Korea.

    on one hand that may is right, but on the other hand me personally never want to be that trackable! even have no facebook lol... though i'm not performing trolling (at least i hope so lol) or have criminal interactions online or at all. i just don't want that (luckily in germany such hopefully is unlikely to happen anyways).

    it's easy to not engage on one in the first place. it's easier to do it whenver one may is pleased to, as soon the personal info is there. picard would go mad lol

    While the entire list is great, in my travels across the Internets I've found #'s 10, 9, & 8 to be the most effective.

    Trolls crave attention, deprive them of that and they disappear in a flash.




    Q disappears in a flash. Coincidence? I think not.

    I have the Theory that the True identity of all Trolls in the World is this:

    Oh yeah, I generally avoid chat... so much so that I was surprised when I was kicked out of the game last night and had to hit the forum to find out what was going on.

    Hey, I like me some Q too, but he is the Alpha-Troll. He doesn't just troll online communities or message boards - he trolls entire species.
