I was thinking why not the proxima class battle cruiser
http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080304195846/startrek/images/c/c0/ProximaRefit.jpg
Its a sweet ship and would be a nice addition to the game i know the whole why not KDF why not RRW people will be out in force.
Im just wondering why this cool ship hasnt been added yet
http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2014/189/7/a/proxima_class_refit_by_admiral_horton-d7puupf.png
so i dug around and found some pics of the proxima class refit
http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/047/8/9/Proxima_class_by_enterprisedavid.jpg
its a canon ship so just wondering if this might at some point be considered in the discussions of new ships for the game.
so please keep the whole why not us KDF / RRW to a minimal and discuss about the addition of the proxima class in game.

Nope, not canon. It's from Star Trek: Legacy, and its art assets are likely owned by Bethesda.
I agree with you, it is definitely not canon but I'm pretty sure I've seen it in other games older than legacy... SFC maybe?
Also, canon? Where did it appear? I only remember it from ST: Legacy.
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
Possibly. I was just basing it on the Memory Beta entry.
I did a quick google search and it seems that it was indeed an original design for legacy.
Heh, that's where I just looked as well. I was just running from memory.
i thought it was canon tbh dont own or play legacy
i was looking around memory alpha and think i know where i got some confussion due to USS proxima ( nebula class) and Newton Class my bad though it was canon.
but it is a cool ship to bad though
No worries.
While it's theoretically possible for Cryptic to obtain the rights to non-canon ships (and they have, in the cases of the Vesta and Luna), it's generally not worth their time/effort/money to do so.
This.
That said, if the feds got the proxima then I'd want to see something like the Ber'taa supercruiser from SFA for the klinks :P
Actually, having refitted Akula/Apollo class boats as t1 ships would be pretty nifty...
apollo clas refit would be nice
http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120624110906/memorydelta/images/7/7b/Apollo_class.jpg
and It has two nacells not one cryptic so cant use the "we dont add one nacelled ships" excuse
Yeah, that's the Akula. The "one nacelled" boat I think you had in mind was the Saladin, which was a tos era connie variant.
this is where i got the apollo class from
http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Apollo_class
No, i dont think so. I remember all the saga of SFC and i never saw this ship.
JJ ships?? lol. I dont think so. Only because it is a slighty "old" design it doesnt mean it is JJ based.
The Devs clearly said that they are not going to add fan designs or designs from other Trek games. They are focusing adding in the remaining canonical ships and focus on their own designs from here on out.
Why do you think my Avatar is an Akula class.

Where I got "Akula" from. They're pretty much the same boat, just named differently. It's one of those odd contradictions in beta canon. I always knew the design as the Akula until legacy came along and gave the "Akula" name to the Akyazi, renaming the Akula to "Apollo refit" and the Saladin to "Apollo".
The duel hulls always gave me the impression of multiple warp cores, more power and more battle ready.
But it belongs in its own era, it would be way out of its depth in 2409/10, same problem as a T5/6 Constitution
Yeah and that's why we're getting ships in DR that look like they belong more in Tron rather than Star Trek.
I support the Star Trek Battles channel.

Hey, I never said I liked those new designs.
To me the new Tier 6 ship is more BSG than ST.
Ah yes... the Yamato class.

There was also the carrier from SFC 2, which I wouldn't mind seeing a 24th/25th Century iteration of.

If they redesign the Jupiter... I'd kinda prefer if they did something similar to the Ark Royal instead of the current thing. The current Jupiter is just frickin' ugly, the necelles are VERY FAR apart, and it just looks awkward.
