Okay, what in Trek is going on?

Am I the only one who's noticed the forum keeps getting hit with database errors and has been running slow the last couple of days? Can we get some communication as to what's going on? Because it's getting frustrating.

    I've noticed it, too. It's ignoring certain BB codes for some reason, too.
    My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

    Yeah. Seems like a forum crash is on the horizon.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Phew, glad it isn't just me...

    Seriously, though, I wish PWE would communicate with us when something like this happens, because it's not like this is a one-off glitch; it is persisting and getting worse!

    (Watch as the forum crashes just as I try to post this. :rolleyes::()

    Run CCleaner and wipe your cookies. That fixed the problem for me a few days ago.

    I'm looking into what is going on, I have been getting some lag on my end too, but will have to go check on our Engineering Core of Hamsters to see if there is a bigger issue at work here.

    I'll see what I can find out.

    but yeah, at first I thought it was the storm in my area making my connection slow... but....

    Still some slowdowns but the database errors kept me off for a while and I am back on now..

    Best advice I have seen in the forums for a long while, can we make this a sticky or banner? :)

    I have been on the forums regularly all week but haven't gotten any errors, as I live in the UK I wonder if it is a connection node somewhere???

    I'm not sure... I live in the UK as well and it was really bad for me...

    It seemed to hit during US East Coast Prime Time, so maybe it was server overload or something...

    It's been slowing down a lot and producing errors for the last few days, I've noticed that when not logged into the forum it runs smoothly, but when logged in the issue occur, from what little I can see from this side of the system it looks like conflicts between the vBulletin database and the bridge between it and the pwe accounts database, oddly enough I have seen this exact issue occur for multiple other games that use vBulletin with a custom database bridge.
