it seems that lately I've been asking more questions than I've been answering, and this one is no exception.
Yesterday I bit the bullet and joined a fleet. (I've posted questions about joining fleets in the past). A brand new fleet to be sure, as it was only founded a few days ago.
My question to the player base is this....
With fleets requiring resources for fleet projects, just on a larger scale to from personal projects, how do those of you in a fleet divide your own resources between fleet projects and the various reputation projects?
Example: I noticed that the current projects available for our starbase required dilithium, common duty officers, shield generators, etc. While i was able to contribute on the required common doffs ppol and shield generator pool, the required amount of dilithium was more than 100.000 (2x of my personal supply). I therefore only pitched in about 1000.
Again, how do those of you already in fleets allocate your personal resources for fleet projects while retaining enough for yourself and personal reputaion projects?
If I'm collecting dilithium, I'll give a percentage to the fleet. (Half is easy, where I only refine if I have more than 8K.) Otherwise, resources go to personal projects first (like a rep or fleet item for my ship), reputation daily (I rarely do the hourlies) and then fleet. Generally the reputations pay for themselves (they're a source of dilithium, and the items you get usually cover the daily cost.)
It's situational, though. If we're doing a big project, like an upgrade, then I'll focus on that.
