Reputation armor/costume unlocks

Does anyone have or know of a guide on what sort of hoops you have to to jump through to get the reputation armors to show up correctly in the tailor?

I've unlocked the Omega, the M.A.C.O. and just did the Dyson, and so far I can't see the helmets on the Omega and M.A.C.O. suits, and can't see thy Dyson armor AT ALL.

(No, I don't have a helmet option displaying on the "head" tab in the tailor, under ANY of the drop down boxes, so that's not the answer. Likewise, I don't have Dyson or Voth or however it's called showing up in my tailor drop down list either. And No I don't have an option to "display" armor on my Dyson armor...though I have it in my inventory...I can equip it, I just can't see it in the tailor.)

I've done countless searches to see if I could find some answers as to how to get these unlocks to work correctly, and I keep finding different answers, none of which work for me.

There has got to be a more intuitive way to get these items to work in game.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I am not sure what the current requiremnets are currently for creating a uniform with the helmet option are after the upgraeing of all reputations to the dyson reward layout.

Last time I made an outfit with the helmet. First I had to get the mk 12 full set, and run the unlock reputation mission for tailor access. Then I had to go to head options and choose uniform drop down -> Dyson. Then I had to makes sure in the uniform section was set to dyson in its uniform drop down as well. Then I had to option to include the helmet with color options.

Last playing around I did with the 9.5 new uniform options I was finding I had to select the proper shirt/chest group to get the flags required to find the new Odyssy/bort uniform and reputation uniform options.

    Okay...

First, you can't use your first costume slot, that's uniform only, so it HAS to be in your second slot (or a subsequent slot)

Second, Omega, Voth Elite (from the Dyson Rep), MACO, etc. are under the same tab as "Off-Duty" and "Formal" - again, only accessible through the second and subsequent costume slots.

Third; In the case of the Voth Elite, I don't entirely remember, but you might have to do a Costume Unlock project for that one still - I may be wrong, though.

Fourth; The Omega, MACO and KHG sets have multiple forms. The 'Basic' form that you get just by getting the Armor has no helmet, I'm not sure how to get the more advanced versions anymore since that doesn't seem to be explained in the Dev Blogs about the Rep Revamp and STOWiki is out-of-date regarding the Reputation sets...

Fifth; Helmets and Headgear don't display on a seperate dropdown. Under the head tab there should be an option for Head Type (Human 1, Vulcan 5, Orion 3, etc.); Helmets - including the Voth Elite helmet (and D'vex's Centurion helmet for Romulan players) are selectable here.

^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...

Thanks for the replies. Here's what I'm looking at on my screen:

    1) Voth/Dyson Costume Unlock project -
Don't see anything that resembles that at all on my list of available reputation projects. I completed the project called "Dyson Heavy Combat Armor Mk XII" and completed it, and now I have that armor in my inventory (I can equip it without any issues, just can't see it in the tailor).

    2) Uniform dropdown -
I have M.A.C.O. and Omega listed there, but no Dyson or Voth Elite. (didn't know that those didn't work on the first costume slot, that's good to know. But I was using a slot - like my 7th or or so slot, but I tried others as well with no luck - where I had already equipped the M.A.C.O. armor - albeit without the helmet, and there still wasn't a listing for the Dyson set).

    3) Helmets in the "Head type" tab:
No listing under head type for any helmets. BUT...I admit that I probably only have the basic sets. It's been a long while since I messed around and unlocked those.

Thanks again for the help folks. It's not a huge deal, I'm just a costume junkie, and I have no idea why this has to be so frustrating, especially when the majority of the game is pretty straight forward to figure out.

They changed the way costume unlocks work a while back. The costume unlock project was removed, so don't worry about that, it's gone. The way it works now is that you have to have the full 3 piece set in order to have the full visuals.

So for MACO and Omega, you need to have the armor, shield, and gun in order to have the full visuals. The armor alone will only give you partial visuals.

For Dyson and Counter Command, you need the armor, shield, and gun in order to get everything. You don't get partial unlocks with those.

Once you get the 3 piece set, you should unlock an accolade. You can then go to the tailor and will have the full costume you're looking for.

THANK YOU! That's exactly what I needed to know Ian451!

...unfortunately that really...REALLY sucks that there's no partial unlock. I don't really want the gun or the shield or any of that other stuff.

Oh well, at least I know the secret now.

Thanks to all of you for the information!

...back to the ol' grind. *sigh*

Actually, the Dyson gun's pretty cool - it's one of the few weapons in the game with dual-Expose/Exploit capablity; the secondary mode changes depending on whether or not your target is Exposed.

So.. there is no need anymore to complete all the estfs optionals to get the elite maco armor visuals???

There is. The accolade unlocks a special variant of the armor visuals. The Omega is called Omega Harvester, which has a more aggressive helmet, shoulder pads, and grenade harness on it. I don't recall what the MACO is, but it too has different shoulder pads and a helmet.

So you can get the standard full visuals just by getting the gear and the special variants from the accolade.

^ this ... there are still a couple of variations that require an Accolade to unlock.

Also I think, IIRC, the Dyson Rep (Voth) Armor Still requires a 5 Mark Costume Unlock project for some unknown reason.

All the others unlock automatically one you have ALL 3 pieces of the groundset ...

** Except if you are a RomKlink, then you don't get the arm guards with the KHG set, and you get Klingon ... <ahem> puppies ... with the Be'ves jacket/top.

Okay, now I must know: What makes these KLINGON puppies as opposed to regular ones? Are they completely different colored? Textured? What?

...I THINK, but can't be sure, that it uses the Klingon texture/color palette for them instead of your actual character's settings. Similar to the problem female Caitians and a couple other races had with the Mirror Enterprise top a while back...

    ^This

They are ... textured and coloured ... to look "Klingon" which means that at close range, they a little to, ahh, rugged, for my tastes ... But each to there own I guess ...
