small TR116B review *AFTER-PATCH*

imadude3imadude3 Member Posts: 829 Arc User
so i got the TR116B off the exchange yesterday for 28mil (fairly cheap in my opinion, especially when i tell you how powerful it is) now this thing, this not-so-little beauty, is powerful as heck!

i did a small test with a friend, comparing it to my Fleet Elite Sniper Rifle, on a TAC, the result:

the fleet rifle, fully buffed, killed his shield and took half his health away.

the TR116B, killed him in a single shot, not giving a damn about his shields :P

all in all, the 116 is the new go-to rifle in my opinion, IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT

im planning on getting them for my entire away team.

*EDIT* also, i managed to one-shot a couple of Borg heavy tac drones

oh, and it's account bound :D

Was that huge space really necessary? And spaces between every sentence? Dude.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

felt i had to do it. when i looked at it, it just looked too confusing with all the text crammed together. each to their own i guess :)

It's called a paragraph. Not that confusing.

Something basic like starting a new sentence with a capital would have reduced the cramped feeling considerably.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Complete sentences with periods at the end help, too.

It is amazing how many forget about basics though.

english is far from my native, so i rarely think about it. could we get back on topic now, or do you wanna critizese my grammar even more?

    Don't mind if i do.

As a non-native speaker myself i find myself paying extra attention to otherwise trivial things like grammar, because the lack of proper grammar makes the language more difficult to understand for other non-native speakers.

As for the TR-116B, i am unsure if a fully buffed tac is the best way to test it.
Fully buffed tac have a tendency to overcharge even moderate weapons.

Does this weapon comes with different procs and if so, which one does yours have? Anyways, sounds like something's gets nerfed sooner or later ;)

i don't think they'll nerf it, after all, the reason it's this powerful is because people complained about how weak it was. the procs on mine is [Dmg][ShPen]X4, i don't think it comes with different procs than that

ehm,, it transports a projectile through the shields to the target at the speed it exits the rifle barrel. that was a no brainer that it wouldnt give a damn about the shields or its one shot capability. but now you mention it. its probably gonna get a hard nerf. :P
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

i doubt it, since they buffed it to this level, for being too weak, but i hope it stays this way, it's so much fun to use!

exactly why it would be nerfed. the team like to have satisfied customers, not like they are now, down in the dumps as far as they are concerned.

I was going to ask if you're new here, but then I looked at your post count.

"the team like to have satisfied customers", let me tell you this: this OP weapon is what they think will satisfy customers.

They're not gonna nerf it. Look at what they did to BO.

I just spent 43 million on an Ultra-rare- they are coming down in price nicely. Will probably continue to do so.

Was it a smart purchase? I don't even care. I have the original Target TR-116A and I've waited 4.5 years for this.

May work now, but I'm going to hold off getting one until after the new Expansion. Because the new Craftable Ultra MK12s are obviously going to be obsolete against Mk14s.

That's a nutkicker right there. Not just those weapons but anyone that got those very expensive crafted equipment.

It was one thing before this bit of recent news to spend large amounts of EC to get some fancy Mk XII crafted equipment. Not in favor of that, esp. for those costs, but now knowing that it will be obsolete soon? I'd be kind of pissed. If I made a purchase like that, I'd hope for a lot of longevity from that buy. Mk XII was supposed to be it.

Well, not anymore. Start saving guys, start saving.

they stated in Vegas yesterday that none of our ships/MK XII equipment will be obsolete, in any way.

I guess this gun is the reason why i've done several colony invasions that seemed to take less then 3 minutes each.
Well excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.

Given the lies and insults that came with 9.5, until they prove it, I take what they say with a grain of salt.

As far as we know, their idea of "usefulness" could very well mean that Mk12s will be as useful as Mk10s are still useful right now. And mind I remind you that Ultra MK12s are the same as Rare Mk14s. So getting a VR MK14 will obviously be superior.

So, a gun that ignores shields and allow you to nearly oneshot even bosses is a good thing... yes.. only in STO that thing is allowd to go live and even worst, dont fix it.
