Game Crash - Preventing leveling past level 6 Completely.

When playing through "Crossroads at Crateris" I experienced a crash during a loading screen from space to ground, just after the first space battle section of the mission. Towards the end of the loading screen each, and every time ive attempted to load the ground section of the mission my game crashes to desktop. Not being able to skip this mission also prevents me from farming a previous mission to get past this and on to the next mission. Because of this i cannot progress ANY romulan characters that i wish to level.

Fixes I have tried:

-Verifying game files.
-Dropping and Re-hailing mission.
-Switching patching proxy

Any help would be appreciated, or responses from players with a similar issue.

My best advice is to uninstall completely. Reinstall, see if that works. If it doesn't, maybe contact their customer support and either get a refund for your purchase or see if they can walk you through an install that works. I'd lean toward refund. The game you paid for should work. And it doesn't. That's not cool.

If i were to reinstall the game (Which i have considered, Havent had to in 4 Years of playing) Would that end up wiping my character data, I am almost 100% assuming that data is stored on the cloud, but better safe than sorry.

Nope, your characters are fine and will be exactly where you left them. However, if you delete the folders, you will loose your screenshots, saved keybinds, and Saved UI layouts.

I'm guessing you got out of bed on the wrong side this morning.

Yeah, but in this thread I'm really just advocating some basic stuff.

The uninstall and reinstall is sound advice. It sucks. It takes some time. But it does fix a lot of problems and may solve the OP's issue.

After that, contacting customer support is probably the best option.

I only advocate a refund if the OP can't get a solution from customer support. I'm hoping they can. But yeah, if they can't get the game to play that does suck. And in other areas of retail it's pretty commonplace to get a refund for a defective product.

I don't know. I just thought it was sound advice.

    A refund for what, exactly?

given f words I suppose? no money is mentioned, no compensation is needed just a fix is all. I hope the op gets this fixed for them and they are back to enjoying this game. the best thing to do aside from trying the reinstall is contact support and submit a claim and see if they have a solution or if this is a more common occurrence than I'm aware of look for a faq for a possible fix or workaround.
