Where to get kit modules when they got rid of dil store?

Hello, as the title says. Where can I get kit modules for my lvl50 tac toon? And no, I am not gonna pay 1M for a blue photon grenade and 2.5M for a purple one on the Exchange. Because this game has the fastest leveling I have ever seen and I hit lvl50 in the middle of the Romulan episodes, I do not have many missions to get ground kits available. Prior 9.5 I just bought the blue ones from the dil store.

You can run the FE Assimilated for a random Very Rare Mk XI kit module drop.
Thanks, and how do I do that when I am in the middle of the Romulan episodes?

Skip ahead. Alternatively, several earlier missions, including one in the Romulan arc, give uncommon kit frames and modules as a reward. You certainly don't need the very rares right away, I'm running purchased mk IX commons on my new character and doing just fine with them.

Prices for alot of modules are starting to normalize on the exchange as well. At least, in that they are not as insane as they were for the first few weeks of the new kits. You may be able to equip yourself with what you want for less than you thought.

I had a similar problem recently when I needed to 'standardise' my KMs from the various Mk II - VIII Modules I had; Exchange prices were too high for the Modules I wanted.

I ended up finding that, on a Federation character, re-running the Klingon War Arc mission "Task Force Hippocrates", which is reasonably short and rewards a Kit Frame and Module, a few times will eventually get you the Modules you want (and plenty of extra EC by selling off the extra Modules and Frames)... They're all Uncommon/Green, but they're still effective.

I get mine off the exchange. You really need to know how to find bargains on the EC. I use two Xindi Mark 12 Purple Science Kits because I need more slots than the standard provides. So we I need certain modules I'll have to flip and flop.

On my Rom and KDF they're Tactical so the same Xindi Mark 12 Purple for them too. Make sure you seek Shield or Armor versions.

Spam Asslimation, a completed fleet Spire, or just play a whole lot of ground content.
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!

Fleet Embassy also has a few modules in addition to the Spire.

But yeah, if you want an XI Purple or better your only options are Assimilation, the exchange, lockboxes, 8472 reputation, or fleet stores.

You can buy standard kit modules from vendors if you want to go that way.

Not as good as a very rare module, certainly, but a lot cheaper and enough to hold you over until you can find or buy better.

Makes you wonder while they were left out of the crafting?

I have a sci toon that isn't in a fleet and is still currently using a pre kit revamp medics kit Mk8, and was thinking yesterday that it was time to update it but then started thinking I had nowhere to update it! Looks like I will be playing Assimilation a lot over the next few days to see what I can pick up.

Older kits max out at mark 10 purple. I have two for for my SCI-Fed VA. But these newer kits don't show visuals of your armor like with the older kits did. I need certain features in kits, 3 main modules but I have 4th that won't fit on new kits. Now these newer Xindi Science Kits Mark 12 purple and there are many versions of them. I am using two of them for now. I tested out the latest SKM12 on the Fleet run Colony Invasions of course this one and Undine Ground Mission are fleet runs. Since your not in a fleet you can't run them.

Go on EC and get your Xindi Sci Kits Mark 12 purple before the prices shoot up!

There's also a 10M EC limit for F2P players. You may not care about this, but if the economy pushes prices for basic requirements past this point (as it might though I am not convinced) then no F2P can be competitive and the game will collapse.

Now, I'm not a doomsayer, or at least I don't want to be... and I'm a F2P who's paid a few bits, maybe $100 over my time... so I have most of what I want... fleet gear helps too... but even I balk at some of the exchange stuff. I have seen modules at well over $1000 in real money!!! We're not playing Eve Online, are we???

Limits again I see, good info thanks. But yeah I only use EC and stock pile on the others. Don't really need everything. I only use what I can muster-up. Very Rare Mark 12 purple is nice but the Rare Mark 11 Blue is a lot better than Un-common Green is or just the basic Mark 12.

When it comes to EC I am not spending past 400K, the only time I did go as high 800K to 1M is to get my baby horta into a combat adult horta. Doing so almost wiped me out in EC on KDF side. My other two toons Fed/Rom were ok on EC.

I worked very hard in this game to get enough EC stocked piled, but EC Mark 12 Purple is getting really high on there.

I'll keep searching for EC bargains. ;)

As a F2P Player myself I dont see a problem. The limit increase costs a mere 500 Zen, and thats one of the best "investments" you can do in this game. And zen can be created from dilithium, imo its around 75k dil, with 3 free char slots thats 4 days of dilithium, not really that much ;)

It really isn't a lot, I regret not picking up the cap increase sooner, I blew millions on keys in order to not waste it (granted, this was back when keys were more reasonable on the exchange) by hitting the cap. I'd advise every free player to get it as one of their first C store purchases.

That said, I can't think of a single module I've sold for more than a million in recent memory. There shouldn't be any issue in outfitting a full kit with the amount of EC you can hold without the cap increase.

But again, you don't need those very rare modules if you're just running story. I'm doing fine with mostly IX whites.
