OK converted the Neverwinter settings for STO. only thing i did not find was Shader Quailty which should be max
ran the space battlezone. still have a lot of missing beams but the framerate was better and overall much smoother.
my video card is a GTX 770

Won't do a thing with STO's missing effects (or NW's for that matter).
It is an ENGINE problem, not something that can be fixed on the driver/hardware level.
At least it gives better FPS. That is always a plus.
