My problem with Omega Reputation

I don't know if this is true for the other reputation systems, but at least for the Omega Reputation, the major projects (M.A.C.O., etc) give 0 reputation. This means I gring to get the gear first and then it takes several more days doing the File Situation Report on Status of the Borg Threat (Daily) and the Submit Research Materials to Omega (Hourly) over and over just to get to the next tier. Is this supposed to happen? It makes the reputation system even more tedious than it already is.

tl;dr: Major projects don't give XP so I'm stuck doing smaller projects over and over to rank up.

None of the gear projects in any of the Rep systems award any Reputation Points. I just ran the missions enough to get the Rep to T5 and then began the projects. Seemed to go faster that way. Using the Sponsorship Tokens does make the 2d and subsequent run throughs much faster.

Yeah, it's really not worth trying to run the gear projects until after you've hit T5.

I may do that for the costly ones. Yet for the ones I can aford I will get them if I have the materals and space.
