Okay myself and a friend have been trying to get his computer to let him install and play STO through steam and not Arc. Initially, he installed the game with Arc, but with recommendation from me he tried linking the game to Steam. He did so but when he logged into the game and tried to buy Zen, it sent him to the Arc website, and we eventually found out that trying to buy Zen from the Arc website was impossible because STO was not one of the listed games on the confirmation page after inputting card information and selecting the amount you wanted in Dollars. IE i selected 10 dollars worth of Zen, entered the card information, then when it asked me to select a game and server, STO was not one of the selections.
So it is impossible to add Zen through Arc because STO is not a game listed on there. I did however add 10 dollars to his Steam account and logged into the game through his steam account from my computer, but when I tried to convert that ten dollars to 1k Zen, it keeps giving me the following message "Unable to purchase for an unknown reason" (which btw is....dumb...why is the reason unknown!?). So would someone mind telling please....what is going on here? I even made a brand new steam account and a brand new STO account to go along with it, and when I tried to buy zen it again tells ME "Unable to purchase for an unknown reason." So please anyone....what is up?! We cant get any zen on his account, not throuch Arc or Steam, why!?
Edit: Finally managed to add Zen to his character after his character spoke to Admiral Quinn to complete the tutorial mission. Still though theres still the problem of him being unable to add Zen using Arc.
zen issues...seems to have been happeneing within the last few days (I recently added zen on the day beforehand...it was thursday) and the next day there were issues....not sure what kind, i just know other people were having the same problem you are
You dont necessarily need to select what game you are buying zen for when you make the purchase.
When you are in Arc you can click "Charge" at the top of the page, once that pulls up you can move to the buttom of the page and click "Already have zen, go to my wallet". From there you can select how much zen you want to transfer and to what game. Hope that helps.

Can you give me a detailed explination of that? I have never used Arc before and it still concerns me that it is forcing me to select a game and server.
I purchased Zen using a Rixty prepaid card, so not sure if it would be any different then how you are trying to make the purchase.
I put my card info in and made the purchase, I then went to star trek online and noticed the zen was not there. I then went and found the my wallet option and found all my zen there waiting for me. You then have the option to transfer it to whatever arc game you play, and how much of that zen you would like to transfer to your game. For Star trek, it will of course be star trek online, and server would be holodeck. Once you choose the right information you click transfer and it sends your zen to that game.
Not sure what is going on with not being able to select star trek online for your purchase though, I just tried(without actually making the purchase) and put my information in and star trek online was an option for me.
