Not. Happy.

And yes, I now have read the 'clearly outlined and displayed %$#@-you about visuals' on the rep window.

Well, it's not like I have anything else to grind for. *sigh*

Yes, you have to grind the set like any other rep ones.

Before the changes to reputation, you had to pay for the tailor option after buying the set, now you get it for free.

Before the stupid rep system made you pay twice for them you simply got them for free by having the entire armor/shield/weapon set. So saying it's better now is not true.

Depends on the set. For the Dyson and Counter Command you have to purchase all 3 parts and still run the costume unlock in addition to that.

You get costume unlocked after buying all 3 pieces of equipment.

You didn't read my comment. BEFORE dyson rep even existed. When there was Omega Force, Borg elite drops, and so forth... All you did was get 3 pieces of a set and you had costume options instantly.

and again: it depends on the set.

The Dyson set needs an additional costume unlock project after buying all 3 pieces of the ground set, even after the revamp. see screenshot below.

But now you get to choose what mission to run. Before the reputation system, you had to run a specific elite ground STF for each of the 3 pieces and hope for your token to drop, which was a real pain in the TRIBBLE. Now you can just faceroll a few ISE to unlock it...

Plus the basic costume only requires the armour now.
