Omega Rep Costume Unlock

I have completed two sets of Omega ground gear, both XII matching 3 part sets. Yet I still have no 'claim costume' type mission showing up, and nothing available at the tailor. I tried to file a bug report a couple days ago and now I do not see anything in 'my ticket' area of the help in-game, and yet it generated a ticket number at the time...so now I'm posting here. Before trying to post the ticket ingame, I've done numerous searches here in the forums, as well as general web reading on this issue, with no luck. Also, I've asked multiple people in game, all stating I should have unlocked a rep mission when I got each set completed. Any new ideas or comments?

I just got the Omega armor MK12 and it said it had Omega Armor costume "Style 1" and to right click to see Visual Representation. Of course, right click did nothing! GJ, Cryptic.

I'm assuming the Style 1 is the helmet-less version since that's what I got? Or should I have gotten a helmet too?(I've not bought an Omega Armor or MACO armor since the way you get costume pieces has changed)

Sadly, it appears that Cryptic is still cryptic about what you are buying when you unlock a costume. I wish someone at Cryptic would sticky a thread with pics and a description of how each is Style of armor is acquired.

OK, I looked at the wiki and found some answers.

Unfortunately, the Rep descriptions about costume unlocks doesn't actually explain how to unlock them. In fact, its use of "Costume Unlock Projects" is rather deceiving, as there are no actual projects. But the costumes supposedly unlock thusly:

    * Style 1 unlocks with Omega/MACO/KHG Mk XII Personal Armor acquisition.

    * Style 2 unlocks with Omega/MACO/KHG Mk XII ground set acquisition.

    * Style 3 unlocks with completion of all the Optional Objectives on Elite STF Missions.

    * Style 4 unlocks with acquisition of the Adapted MACO/KHG Mk XII ground set.

Well...I have a complete set of Omega Force Armor Mk XII/Omega Force Personal Shield Mk XII/Omega Force Antiproton Autocarbine Mk XII and M.A.C.O. Armor Mk XII/M.A.C.O. Personal Shield Mk XII/M.A.C.O. Phaser Battle Rifle Mk XII. Looked through all the options I can find at the Earth Starbase Tailor as well as my Fleet Tailor..and nothing listed for the costume.

I also have those. MACO and Omega have their own tabs in the Tailor: Uniform, Off Duty, Formal, MACO, Omega. This also means that MACO and Omega are exclusive of each other and cannot be mixed with any other costume options. Once selected the helmets are on the Head tab.

The thing that confuses me: What is the difference between Style 1 and Style 2? When I select the MACO and Omega tabs, I only see one choice.

When I completed the MACO/Omega armor projects (I had already acquired the Shields and Weapons), I received the "Unlocked Style 1" notification. Since that meant that I also completed the ground sets, I should've received an "Unlocked Style 2" notification, but I didn't receive that notification. I don't see anything in the Tailor that differentiates between a Style 1 or 2, though. Is it just that Style 2 gives you more options that Style 1 doesn't have and therefore you wouldn't know if you completed the armor and set simultaneously?

I believe it used to be that Mk X looked like PolyWeave Armor, Mk XI was sans helmet and gloves, and Mk XII added the helmet and gloves. So is Style 1 equal to Mk XI and Style 2 equal to Mk XII in appearance/options? If so, this would explain why I'm not seeing a difference in the Tailor, as all of the options unlocked simultaneously.

I must say, the lack of any information/explanation in the Omega Rep descriptions regarding costume unlocks is what makes this a bit confusing.

I logged in and again went to the Tailor to check on any additional outfits, hoping that it would show at least one of these for my choices. Sadly, all I show is "Uniform". At the bottom I show 4 uniforms available. Choosing 'list', 'small' or 'large' still only shows the current uniform my character has. Rather than submitting another ticket to be ignored, I may contact a in-game csr to complain or get an explanation as I'm getting sick of trying to figure out something I've worked hard to get--twice.

Oh no, "List", "Small", and "Large" are just how to display the costumes you've already made.

I'm assuming that you're referring to this: http://i.imgur.com/CQDl4nO.png

Create a new costume and then look here: http://i.imgur.com/SjkkCHX.png

Well...I thank you for your picture...but I do not have that button present on my screen at the advanced screen. Otherwise, everything else looks the same. I have no option to click on at all for formal or Omega, that drop down button is simply not present.

Ok...one thing that I found and worked finally. I did a search for missing button issue....and found that it could be located at the Advanced Head tab. So I finally have my MACO & Omega armor available. Thanks for getting me to that point :)

As far as I know Style 2 gives all the options of Style 1 which is just the shirt and pants and the helmet, chest gear, etc of Style 2. Style 1 is whats unlocked for getting the Mk XI version.

I acquired the Adapted MACO Personal Armor Mk XII tonight. Doing so gave me the "Unlocked Honor Guard Style 1" notification. I went to the Tailor, but alas, no new options are there.

I haven't acquired the Adapted Shields or Weapon yet, so I don't know if it's a glitch and/or if something will unlock once I complete the ground set.

    or

I've heard of some players that are able to dress their Diplomacy BOFFs in the Klingon Honor Guard Armor. Perhaps this unlock is for them and that's why I can't see it? I haven't earned my Diplomacy BOFF yet, so I can't test the theory.

Except that now there is no longer a Mk XI version to acquire. I was notified that Style 1 was unlocked when I acquired my Mk XII armors. If Style 2 only adds the helmet, gloves, etc., then I have them. I just wasn't notified via the system announcements that Style 2 had been unlocked.

Exactly. There is no more Style 1 to obtain anymore. There is just Style 2, Style 3, and Style 4 for MACO and KHG and Style 2 and Style 3 for Omega.

If it has a separate uniform class (so Uniform, Offduty, MACO etc) does that mean BOFFS can't be dressed in Maco or omega uniforms?

BOFFs can indeed wear MACO and Omega uniforms once they're unlocked. They get the Uniform, MACO, and Omega options in the uniform tab.

Found a wonderful bug with the Omega Force Style 4 unlock assignment.

I accidentally queued up the assignment after a MACO Shield Array I was working on, then pressed Unselect Next in hopes of moving it to the other assignment slot instead.

Well now I don't have access to the assignment anymore at all. I have the full MACO, Omega Force and Adapted MACO ground sets, Omega Force Shadow Operative Accolade, and even unlocked the MACO style 4 set. Just can't access the Omega Force Style 4 set assignment again.

Filed a ticket for it, and after about 5 back and forths, I was basically told that all I could do was file a bug report and that IF it's a problem that's common enough to get patched, it'll get fixed that way. In other words, don't do what I did or you likely won't be getting the Style 4 set at all.
