theres a kit that has an ability that will make you run faster for a short duration

Unfortunatly I can't remember which ability, although I'm almost certain that its a Tactical ability

Tactical Kit Mod: Motion Accelerator, and Frost Boots from a Winter Event, are the ones ive seen.

Yeah, Motion Accelerator for tac kits.

There's also the Frosted Boots device. Those you can only get from the winter event. If you ever see someone running faster than you are while leaving a trail of ice puffs behind them, that's what they're using.

Fabrication kit mod: Combat supply (enginerr) can also give a 20% runspeed buff for 60secs

Expect to slam into a lot of walls until you get used to them if you decided to go for that option.

Side note, I don't know if it's just my imagination but it feels like I run more slowly when holding a rifle as opposed to a pistol. Could just be my mind playing tricks, but thought I'd mention it.
It's not my fault if you feel trolled by my Disco ball... Sorry'boutit.

On top of the above suggestions, I realized that jumping (bunny hopping) when going down slope will increase the speed marginally. This effect is magnified when using a caitian/ferasan.

There's a definite difference between a minigun and a pistol-so yes, weapons affect runspeed.

So true. That's why you have to learn how to run Tokyo Drift style. :P

Nah, you just deactivate the froosted boots when you need to do a hard turn, and thats all. Then you activate em again after 1,5 seconds. Or as the guy said, to know how to "drift" xD. But honestly i drifted only in the winter event, in regular play i just double tap or i deactivate the frosted boots for a second. Thats even faster than try to drift and fail... lol.

You dont run slower or faster depending on what weapon you wear, it is just what it looks like because of the different posture grabbing the weapon.

But i think the op is just asking if there are some races, or skills (in the skill tree) that will increase your run speed. So, the answer is NO.

The Psionic Command Aura tac kit module that gives you the pink aura also boosts run speed by like 20%. Stack that with motion accelerator and the frosted boots and you'll haul *** all over the place; heck, bring a boff or two with you that also have motion accelerator and they'll all stack together.

There's an even better and rather easier way to turn with frosted boots. If you're running/sprinting with them on and want to change direction, just jump and stop running in mid air. If you do it right, you should come to an instant halt which will allow you to turn normally. All you have to do then is start running again. Oh, and don't try jumping on upward slopes with the boots activated.

    TL;DR
Run with boots on, jump and release the movement key while in mid air. Make the turn and then start again in the new direction.

    Bang on.

True. Skillpoints wise, there's nothing that will affect your run speed. There are a couple of items which have already been mentioned, but that's it.

Also, just to cover the probably-obvious, you can sprint by holding down the "Shift" key while you run. During combat you have a stamina bar that limits you to sprinting for about 10-15 seconds before having to return to normal speed for it to recharge, but outside of combat you can sprint for unlimited time.

I think that's the purple one that pops out. The other ones are either thing for doing more damage or absorbing more damage. not useful outside combat.

About frosted boots: They automatically turn off whenever you enter red alert.
