What's this "Damage!" thing?

Playing Viscous Circle Elite, I went through the Combat Log to investigate what was taking my 80k hull down to 75%, then I saw this...

[7:57] Damage! gives 6545 (14358) to your Shields.
[7:57] You lose 1595 (15954) Fire Damage from Damage!.
[7:57] Damage! gives 6535 (14337) to your Shields.
[7:57] You lose 1593 (15930) Fire Damage from Damage!.
[7:57] Damage! gives 5572 (12225) to your Shields.
[7:57] You lose 3681 (15906) Fire Damage from Damage!.
[7:57] Captain, our forward shield is down!
[7:57] Damage! gives 1840 (7358) to your Shields.
[7:57] You lose 8596 (15954) Fire Damage from Damage!.
[7:57] Damage! gives 6545 (14358) to your Shields.
[7:57] You lose 1595 (15954) Fire Damage from Damage!.
[7:57] Damage! gives 6535 (14337) to your Shields.
[7:57] You lose 1593 (15930) Fire Damage from Damage!.
[7:57] Damage! gives 5572 (12225) to your Shields.

Is this a proc or a special NPC-only Undine attack? Looks powerful.
Just curious, not complaining really.

    The green stuff in the smokestacks, eh?

    Just ran it - didn't see anything like it - at the end decided to fly into one of the stacks and...

    Um. You mean the "lava pools" around the planet killer where the Maws are? I am 100% sure I wasn't close to any of them during the whole fight in question (especially after going into them myself during my very first run when the Season came out... never gonna make that mistake again :P ). I usually fly high and draw the aggro away while the rest of the team works on the Planet Killer without being disrupted by the NPCs.

    Each of the maw things has the three stacks around them. I flew into one after we did the last maw. Not sure if they periodically spew or anything, but for a 28520 line log, there were only 145 lines for Damage!. There might be other areas where the same stuff appears. Almost all the entries are for pets, mines, Photonics in the particular log I grabbed...
