dilithium for Reputations

It can become painfully obvious how much dilithium is needed to get Rep gear. My question is what method(s) have you guys found most effective to grind for dat dilithium?

Voth Battlezone, turning in surplus unwanted marks for extra dil (15 marks at a time adds up), and farming contraband to turn in. Also waiting till the dil-bonus weekends, and THEN doing the big-reward projects like reputation finishes with the bonus. Got 2.1m dil on the last such weekend using those four.

If I'm going for a 32k item like a space shield or some such thing I ill grind over my four toons in the ground battlezone, turning in contraband and the odd stf in between. Hit my cap and all four for the day and get the item off the bat. Multiple toons really help in grinding dilithium, for me anyway.

I suppose it depends on which faction you are in. I get 8k dilithium ore in about 60 minutes with my KDF toon. That include turning in 5 contraband for the 2k dil reward. However, that means you also need to queue up marauding missions to get the contraband. If you are KDF and you are not maraudering, then shame on you.

    My daily KDF routine is:

    1. Turn in 5 contraband for 2,000 dil (4 hour wait)
    2. Do the "Vulture Wheel" Foundry mission and the repeatable "Investigate Officer Reports". 1,440 + 960 = 2,400 dil
    3. Asteroid Mining = up to 1,000 dil
    4. Crystalline Entity Elite = 960 dil
    5. Nimbus III has 3 dailies. Total = 1,540 dil
    6. Step #2. But this time you will only get 960 dil since Foundry award is only rewarded once every 20 hours.

The above works out to 8,860 assuming you max out Asteroid Mining. There's also the "Creatures of the Desert" daily at Nimbus where the reward can vary, but I typically get 580 dil for that particular daily; the max is 640 dil.

Excluding travel time I can typically do the above in 50 minutes.

    I mainly do the Voth Battlezone for grinding. But if you're tired of it or want to do something else;
    1. Spotlight foundry missions reward over 2,400 points of Dilithium every 20 hours
    2. Regular foundry missions will reward 1,200 each mission (depending on how long the mission is)
    3. Nimbus gives around 1,400 more or less (depending on if Orion Contraband works or not)
    4. Defera Sector Dailies given by Ambassador Surah offer 2,440 points altogether
    And for fun,
    5. Turning in the Defeated Changling from The New Link will get you 400 or 500 points (contrary to popular opinion, you don't get one from the holodeck simulation during Of Bajor, because it's a hologram and not an actual changling.)

    I do the following:

    Fleet dill mine - 2480
Aiding the Defer. Or Explore Strange New Worlds - 1440
    Emancipation (Defera sector) - 480
    Nimbus - 1240
    Contraband - 2000
    Reputation turn in - 680

Total = 8320 ore 8000 of which I can refine each day.

However the contraband isn't an everyday thing for me so still making a respectable 6320

I find the dil grinding boring. I'm here to play.
Sometimes I trade contraband. Most of it comes from event (like CCE/mirror universe events) and Borg stf. The dil week-end really help. I keep marks, processors and gamblebox dil claim to trade/use them when the event comes, and make a lot of dil (more than 50K last WE, and I was not even at home, with no time to play any borg stf as planned).

It's more than enough for my purchases. In fact, the limiting resource is fleet credit and marks for me.
