I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing this, but I find myself taking far more fire than usual in Viscous Cycle Elite while in my Fleet Luna and Fleet Dhelan. There are times where, even with 2-3 cruisers spamming FAW on the team, I am taking the vast majority of the aggro. Neither of those 2 toons have any points towards threat control, and the Luna has 4 mk xii embassy consoles with [-th].
Just ran VCE in my Dhelan and the mere presence of my ship drew so much aggro/threat, that I spent the vast majority of the mission flying away and around the shipyards trying to get enough damage in on the objectives to help move them along.
Are the undine bugged and picking targets with low aggro or is there some kind of new threat mechanic involved here?
I'm convinced aggro generation is bugged in this game.
I seem to constanly draw aggro from cubes and other capital ships in my Avenger if I even drift within 10KM of then but yet i can flatten hundreds of smaller ships and these smaller guys ignore me and fly towards my guns to their deaths. And lord help me if I fly anywhere near them in my Vesta, depsite being a sci ship with a hell of a lot less dps it gets targeted almost as soon as i'm in range.
I have -th sci consoles slotted on both but it feels like this makes no difference.
Seems there's no difference if there's a BFAW Scimi next to me blasting the hell out of a cube, it targets me, even if I'm not actually shooting.
However I find that the Undine ignore me most of the time?!?!?

This drives me insane in the voth ground zone. I'm standing there minding my own business trying to shut down an artillery generator and a horde of Swarmers come from out of nowhere and shoot at ME instead of my boffs that are actively firing upon them. The Voth cannon fodder does it to. "Nope, gonna ignore the guys shooting at me and make a beeline for that other guy over there."
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
Yeah it makes no sense. Regardless of who has threat reduction or whatever, an npc should never ignore someone who is actually doing them harm in favour of someone who is not even shooting at them.
Does the npc threat analysis of the players work at a group level or something? I only ask because it would make sense that if I'd just steamrolled through 4-5 BOP's in CSE then the cubes would see me a threat even if I'd never shot at them. Does it just work by marking the most threatening player with a big neon sign for the npcs to watch out for so they shoot that person when in range regardless of what else is going on?

Sometimes it works, other times they behave normal
