so i got the Adapted Cruiser, and HOLY SPOCK IT'S AWESOEME!
great turnrate (with my setup)
great hitpoints
great shield hitpoints
great console setup
great boff seating
cloak
best ship i've ever had, and i have alot of lobi/lockbox ships
anyways, what's the destroyer like? would it be worth adding to my collection?
He's asking about the adapted destroyer in general and ranting about how much he loves the adapted cruiser. Builds are not important.
Adapted destroyer is a good ship, but not easy to master.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

A confusing mess. It has the HP, shields and turn rate of a small KDF battlecruiser, lacks the universal commander station and cruiser commands of the Adapted BC, the console is underwhelming, both in damage and graphically. And the 3 piece set only kicks in if you use offensive science powers that do exotic damage and not even all of them, check the fine print.
I have one and frankly, I have no idea what to do with it.
I have the Adapted BC on my KDF Sci toon. It's great since the KDF doesn't really have a good Sci-ship. And none that cloak.
On my Adapted BC I use Torp Spread 3, Cannon Scattershot 3 and GravWell for mass killing. Otherwise I run the Comm. Universal Slot for another Sci Boff to be a 'true' sci-ship. Just don't have the TSS free ability.
I tried the Adapted Destroyer on Tribble and was underwhelmed. Went back on Holodeck and sold it. You could do the same. Buy it on Exchange, transfer to Tribble and open it there.

Like i said earlier it's a ship which takes time to master, but after that it's pure awesomeness.

If you're running the adapted bc as a science ship, then the destroyer is good to have for the consoles. The three piece bonus is a welcome boost in that regard, and the console itself is useful in a CC context.
As for the destroyer itself, it's a bit like the dhelan its based on.
Takes a while to get the hang of it, but worthwhile in the end.

Why? The OP is not looking for build help, merely to know if they should get the Destroyer or not.
I actually like Delta Rising.
