Tractor mines and graviton generator

Do the tractor beam mines benefit from the graviton generators skill?

    I would think so. Other mines benefit from the corresponding skill. I don't see why Tractor Mines would be any different. That being said, I have never tested it to be sure.

    But the in-game "info" screen says only weapons training skills affect it... anyone else?

    I think they count as pets, similar to fighters or runabouts.
    I doubt runabout's tractor beams are influenced by skills, so why would these mines be?

    Why then does it say they are affected by captain's weapon skills? (but not graviton generators)

    Because they have also a mine tag which indicates damage?
    They don't explode like other mines, though, right? So that weapon skill effect might be wasted or it's a description error.


    I don't know, I just think it's logical they count as pets and not ship weapons unless they explode on the target like other mines.
