Bridge Officer Races, What did you chose for space and ground and why?

I'm getting ready to reset my Main bridge officer set and upgrade my alt bridge officer set for his new ship.

My main is a Rom Engineer, almost always PVE
My alt is a Fed Tac, also almost excusively PVE (so far at least).
My favorite builds are Aux2Bat builds if that matters in deciding.

I hear "ya gotta use Romulans because they have Subterfuge" from some, and from others,
"ya gotta use Humans with Leadership".

What's everyone's favorite? What about for Ground away teams?

In the end, just how much does it really matter? I'm drowning in Boff candidates and its time to reaffirm what I want, keep and train them, and dump or sell the rest.

(And no there's no way I'm going to ask some of those outrageous prices people are asking for on the exchange for some of these...unbelievable...)

If you're just using it for pve. Build the races of your crew round the characters you want, especially for ground.
Otherwise, you probably want lots of subterfuge on your romulan.
Efficient is a good trait to try and get a hold of, and comes on some Saurians and I believe all Liberated Borg.
Again, if its for pve, don't worry about getting these NOW. You can get the subterfuge romulans from the embassy if you save up, and can get them from doff recuitment missions. The same with efficient saurians. Liberated borg are bit more 'difficult' to come by. C-store or an accolade from Khitomer Accord for them primarily.

(Superior) Romulan Operative is the trait you're thinking of for them; Subterfuge doesn't stack. The nicest thing about this trait is you can sell rare BOFFs with it for 6+ million EC easily.

My advice is build the crew you want and don't worry about any of this nonsense. They're definitely not needed for PvE. I have an all Romulan crew on my Romulan main not because they're the best, but because that's what I wanted. Same with Klingons on my Klingon alt.

It doesnt matter what specie you use on ground. Anything will sufice. I honestly go with the species i like the most, or just random guys. The only thing i worry about is how they are dressed lol. Unless you are using romulans with the superior operative trait, that are really useful in space (less in ground) there is not a real reason you will choose this specie or another. Just personal tastes. With the exception to my very first character when i started playing (my away team are ALL CAITIANS LOL.) i have really random teams.

Best crew is to have a reman captain, a romulan with subterfuge and superior romulan operative, and then rest with superior romulan operative.

If your a romulan, then one reman with superior infiltrator, the rest superior romulan operative

For feds, every tactical station is superior romulan operative. One boff is a lethean diplomatic bridge officer with pirate and the rest are humans with leadership

For klingons, every tactical station is superior romulan operative. Rest are all letheans with pirate.
    Chive on and prosper, eh?

Nausicaans are the ones with Pirate. Letheans are Efficient.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

KDFside... a mix of Nausicaans and Romulans for Space. Alien (teamwork bonus), Klingon (DPS), Orion for Ground. Especially in the voth battleground, the Orions. You all pay more attention to a bit of skin. ;)
    Nessia (KDF Sci)
IKS Korrasami (Fleet B'rel Bird of Prey Retrofit T5-U)

It's not really a case of favorite, to be honest. It's mostly a case of mechanics. Sure, I've mixed it up with my Captains to an extent - but when it comes to the BOFFs, can't say I'm running much of what I'd like to...

Willard the Rat, Reman w/ 5x Romulans w/ Superior Romulan Operative & Subterfuge
Rave, Joined Trill w/ 5x Nausicaans w/ Pirate
    Mysk, Gorn w/ 5x Nausicaans w/ Pirate
    Maal, Klingon w/ 5x Nausicaans w/ Pirate
    Vegar, Orion w/ 5x Nausicaans w/ Pirate
    Nivuh, Ferasan w/ 4x Nausicaans w/ Pirate
    Venit, Lethean w/ 5x Nausicaans w/ Pirate
    Kopor, Nausicaan w/ 5x Nausicaans w/ Pirate

Should I ever rank up my Embassy, for everybody but Willard it will be a case of looking at replacing the Naus Tacs with SROs and replacing a single other Naus with a Sub...possibly multiple Sub depending on the needs of the overall build.

Sure it would be "fun" to do the Gorn crew, Orion crew, Klingon crew, or to run the Voth, Breen, Reman, Jem while running around on Ground - but uh, yeah - no, even though I've compromised here and there on doing something fluffy...when it comes to BOFFs, I guess it is what it is for me.
