ESD and graphics

I was wondering why it is that I have to turn down my settings every time I go to the new EDS? If I have my usual settings,.. its VERY laggy and I can't even move around,.. just keeping bumping into things and its very slow movements.

Before season 9 I had issues like this,.. I had perfect graphics, textures etc (which I never could get back to btw still having to tune settings back and forth).. and could move around reasonable well. It did get laggy when I was on new Romulus (specially in beginning but it got better over time and I noticed with less people its also less laggy).

What is the cause of this?

Cryptic messed up the game engine with S9. You are not the only one, use the SEARCH feature of the forums and you will find out. Actually you dont even need to use the search function, just go to the bugs section of the forums...

I have mac and I am using Wineskin since on the mac version the textures are glitching. I have written this on the forums.. but no reply. So I guess I am the only one.

I just don't get it. I had no problems with either Wineskin or the mac version before season 9. Since I am on a mac I can't really update graphics as far as I know. I have the latest OS X.

My old computer had been having graphics issues since LoR launched. It also started overheating a lot.

My roommate became dissatisfied with his old desktop (its graphics simply couldn't keep up with EvE any more), and gave it to me while buying himself a new one. It was then that I found that my old system's problem was that its graphics card couldn't handle STO any more. (CO, either, but that's another story.) On this system, that's not a problem.

(I did find out yesterday that the wireless card in this desktop puts out RF interference that slows down everyone's wireless performance horribly, but that was cleared up by moving closer to the router and plugging straight in with a CAT5 cable...)
