Not really to sure where to post this, but I'm sure one of the moderators will put this where it belongs. Anyway, it's great that we have a shared bank, and can transfere items between characters, includeing EC. However, I think it would be a great idea to let players place dilithium into the shared bank as well. Let's face it, by the time we get everything we need, that dilithium becomes virtually useless. So why not let one of our lower level toons have access to the excess dilithium instead?
I know this doesn't seem to well thought out, probably a stupid idea. But, no harm in putting it out there just to see what everyone else thinks of it.
You can already transfer Dilithium to other characters on your account via the Dilithium Exchange. Just put the Dilithium up for sale for an unreasonable amount and then log into the other character and cancel the transaction. The Dilithium will be refunded to the new character.
You are correct in that Account Bank would be simpler, though.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
One question about that: is it legal? I mean just transfer all the daily dil to one character that way
Of course. It has been this way since the dillithium exchange was put into the game. And it doesn't really get you more dillithium, you still have to earn it.

It's a game mechanc widely known and understood by players and devs alike. It's fine.
There is a technically a limit of much refined dilithium that you can post for sale at one time. Also you may need to switch between Character A and Character B several times depending on how many crystals you want to move.
Example: you want to sell 100,000 crystals. You post 20,000 from A and rescind sale using B. You do this five times. I don't recall the actual "at a time " limit so the real back and forth required will differ, but you see the idea.
Yes, i totally understand the process. I was kind of always shy to just steal dilithium form other chars, except when i need zen and just sell all of it on market i buy zen item with one character.
Anyway thanks from response to both.
The absolute max you can transfer at once is 25,000 zen worth at 25 dil a piece which is 625,000 dil. That is because you can only have 5 total listings on the exchange at once and those are limited to 5,000 zen max. But then you just go to your character you want the dil on and cancel all the listings and bam, you have your dil.
It's a little bit annoying but it works. I regularly transfer dil from 5 alts onto my main this way. And you always end up with a few spare crystals on various toons but oh well.
Cheers from Antonio Valerio Cortez III, Half-Celestial Archduke of the Free Marches Confederacy.
actually, all you need to do is cancel the transaction on the first toon. the holding area of the D exchange where you have to claim what you bough out of, is also account wide. But you must empty that space before you make another offer, because it will come out of that, not your toon's D supply.
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!

Don't think there is a limit on how much dil you can trade (exchanged nearly 300k dilithium last day). There is however a limit of 5000 Zen per offer.
That is your limit. If the Dilithium Exchange is currently set at 100 dil per zen, then the max you can transfer at once is 500,000 dilithium. If the Dilithium Exchange is currently set at 200 dil per zen, then the max you can transfer at once is 1 million dilithium.
