Why aren't the Ferengi available in all 3 factions? It was said in "The Path to 2409" that a lot of Ferengi males were not happy with Grand Nagus Rom, and the changes he was making. At the same time Ferengi females were having a hard time making a profit also, and left for better opportunities. You would think the Ferengi would be a playable race all over the galaxy.
The ferengi don't fit the kdf or the rom missions. The kdf is klingon lifestyle missions and the roms are all about heritage. The ferengi need a different story. The only work for the feds because the fed missions are very vanilla.
And they have an 'alien' pickable race don't they?
The missions are cultural and make sense if you're a culture into wanting reunification. Nothing in the rom missions are about profit; which makes them very anti-ferengi.
More Ferengi content would be good, a shame that we have no homeworld, while the Andorians do... A ground map like Bajor would be nice, perhaps with some missions, rain all the time and supply's purchasable with latinum rather than EC.
I agree, we need more ferengi content.
We already have ferenginar but only in undine assault, now it only needs to be put somewhere on the galaxy map.
Armin shimerman is already known for doing voice acting in games, and he is a Star Trek fan just like Tim Russ is, so asking him would be great!
Make ferenginar visitable, add some stores and some mini games and add some assignments from the tower of commerce.
For example you can collect grand nagus gint figurines ( the most common artifact found on ferenginar) and trade them for dil or gpl or even introduced ferengi weapons?
The Romulan story in the game feels very much like a family story. Your best friends are all Romulans. You run around helping them fix pipes, kill bugs, etc. Even when you get recruited by D'tan it still feels like a family story. You are looking for sisters and helping people's children, etc. Nothing in that particular series of stories would make me think a Ferengi would be the person doing it - not even Nog, and he's the least Ferengi of all the Ferengi we have encountered. Still, it is not impossible to run a Ferengi through the story, but it would feel wrong.
The Klingon story is really just for Klingons. It does not even make sense that Gorn and other species are doing that story. In reality the KDF should only consist of Klingons, but that does not work well for a game where people want choices. I really do not see a Ferengi running around screaming about honor and the like, though.
The Starfleet story is so generic it could handle just about anything. All you need to do is value the base principals of the Federation and you can make it work - which is why you see Ferengi, Klingons, etc.
The Ferengi really need to be their own Faction. They need to be lumped into an overall "pirate" Faction - where the principals involve profit and gain rather then family loyalty, honor, or IDIC integrity.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
Klingon Ferengi make sense until you see how every KDF is a ridgehead and having a Ferengi acting as a Klingon going on about honor and battle is incredible bizarre, far more that Orions doing as such.
So no, not until the KDF actually recognize it have different species, even at Fed it gets a bit weird but Fed dialogue is usually "generic" enough so it doesnt stands up, KDF dialogue? it does.
So a joined trill is culturally accepted in the KDF? Not every trill is a Kurzon, and not every symbiot had the experiences of Dax.
I think Ferengi could find honor in profit, and be recognized for it, after all, Quark demanded to be allowed to use aspects of Ferengi culture in the mating combat for Grelka (the episode where Worf controlled him), and was respected for his culture.
I have wanted to play a KDF Ferengi for a VERY LONG TIME.... so yes I would be super happy if that happened.
I would love to visit the home plant.. look forward to see the constant rain.. LOL

Romulan Ferengi? Sorry, I just don't see it happening.
