So I have a question of best DPS or best in slot. I have a Tactical ship with four tactical consoles. I'm currently using phasers as I am also using the Undine weapon set and have both consoles and the torpedo launcher. In my four console slots I have MK XI(green) phaser relay x3 and the tactical console from the most recent FE. What I am wondering is, would it be better for me to slot out a phaser relay for a MK XI(purple) Photon Detonation Assembly?
The difference in percentages is 24.4%(phaser relay) vs. 28.1%(Photon Detonation Assembly). So what factors do I have to contend with here? I have heard people say that diminishing returns exist and get worse with the more of one find of buff from consoles in game. I also have to think of CD rates of my weapons phasers are considerably less than torpedoes and the amount of weapon slots of phasers out number my torpedo slots. To be clear I have 4 slotted as phaser and 2 slotted for photon torpedoes 1 antiproton turret as stop gap right now. I use 2 cannon enhanced attacks and 2 torpedo enhanced attacks. Any advice would be great thank you.

For pure dps. Go pure energy weapons of one type
For absolutely high dps. Go beam arrays.
Best results for you, go to a fleet spire and get phaser locator consoles.

Though I'd stick with phasers, because Fed Pride and all that. Gotta represent.
