The Config file has an option for "ATIcrossfirecount" however the game defaults it to 0 meaning CrossfireX disabled, the game would run SO much better with CrossfireX enabled, i tried forcing the enabled setting of 1, but the game defaults it to 0 automatically.
In game i tried tinkering with the Video RAM usage, i was able to increase it to 900MB, but when attempting to allocate more the game just defaults to 800MB, as if to say it doesn't understand what 20 Hundred Megabytes is, with a total of 4096MB to use, it only registers 1024MB total.
Still tinkering with the game, will update if i ever manage to fix this new problem of my STO throttling down to 3FPS from 30FPS, the only recent thing i changed would be the "Reduce Streaming from HDD" option.
I did find out that "rdrdisablesm20" is a bad thing to enable, had to restart the computer to regain access to STO.
There is no option to refresh shaders... kind of saddening.
there was an option i found for fixing shadows with MSAA users who get shadow artifacting... but again, STO forces the setting otherwise to its own setting.
for a while now i noticed that my STO graphics settings are reset whenever i wish to try something new, change one setting and the game reverts to using the sliders, very annoying... cuz then i must re set all things i had set already, again.
I don't normally have these issues, but after having some HDD identification errors i had to reset the BIOS to optimized defaults. I will be going through and re setting the overclocks i once had, as to attempt to regain the former glory i had on STO.
If i find some kind of a holy grail with my search in the commands i'll be sure to post it here.
