STO Academy has a dictionary of terms that you can browse through.

    http://www.stoacademy.com/datacore/dictionary.php?searchLetter=A

Just click the letters at the top to go through the terms in alphabetical order. It should give you a good idea of the terms we use 'round here.

Pug - pick up group. You do a mission with random players you do not know

Collect some words you don't know and write them down here. There are dozens of them and we do not know which you don't know

What does all the slang mean?

Like any language, context is everything; spelling is also important. I think people get in too much of a hurry at times, leaving behind a trail of incorrect homonyms, "fat-fingered" keystrokes, and sometimes sloppy thinking, apart from the challenge of expressing something in one's non-native language.

For example, I have found that "OP" can either be "original poster" or "overpowered" depending on the context. Many ship names, equipment types, and factions can be abbreviated, in a poster's haste to get their ideas down on the page. Examples: JHAD = Jem'Hadar Attack Ship; "klink" = Klingon character; etc, etc. If people really want to be understood, they would be further ahead to slow down & type correct English...;)
Expendables Fleet: Andrew - Bajoran Fed Engineer Ken'taura - Rom/Fed Scientist Gwyllim - Human Fed Delta Tac
Savik - Vulcan Fed Temporal Sci
    Dahar Masters Fleet: Alphal'Fa - Alien KDF Engineer Qun'pau - Rom/KDF Engineer D'nesh - Orion KDF Scientist Ghen'khan - Liberated KDF Tac

seems to be needing some updating.

No reference to Fleet marks and no mention almost any of the content of the FTP seasons.

IE, under L, next to "lore" for the daily missions should be "LoR" for "Legacy of Romulus".
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!

Technically, none of which you spoke of are slang - rather, they are jargon.
    Sokath, his eyes uncovered!

    Fixed that for you.
