I don't mean to sound offensive but I can't understand what you're trying to say.

Wait I think I got it. Yes someone made the hobus star go supernova and taris was related to the incident.

I understood the second half of that. He's trying to figure out how the Hobus supernova was induced.

    sorry for my bad english

The enterprise happened upon iconia through the probes and the yamato's destruction. scans revealed the entire planet was leveled from orbit, apparently someone more powerful then the iconians existed, or a multiracial alliance in a reconn of mass effect and the reapers, a cycle of destruction. what was left of the iconians fled probably to andormeda galaxy and subspace. a lot of stuff in game suggests the solanae lifeforms from schisms on tng may have sheltered the iconians for a bit and as a result the iconians made them useful and converted them into husks for their bidding. eventually the romulans found their way into contact with the iconians and likely took victims for experimentation and converted them into schroomies, another form of husks. i also wouldnt be surprised in the tholians have had contact with the iconians either, considering their wierd hyper advanced tech and need to cross reality into others, time tech and such. who knows what they have learned and discovered over the thousands of years.

taris stated that hakeev, her officer during the time of the iconian exploration, he became fasinated by iconians, and eventually went out and contacted them in return for personal power as a husk. during his time he came into contact with the borg and their technology or at the least, knew about such technology. he died before his work completed, completely brainwashed and without any intervention, so clearly he served his purpose to advance that agenda.

taris, the tal-shiar and some remans extremists sealed the fate of romulus and remus for good, she believed she was doing the right thing when hakeev convinced her of the iconians and their power. but she was tricked into it, and spent the rest of her life regretting the choice, even though she tried to escape before being locked up in 4028 and then broken out at the same time you are there to rescue the founder for the dominion. evidently, the iconians did something and took taris like they did with sela.

with sela on the other hand, she was cautious, tricky and shrewd, she saw the issue for it was, but she had some moments of doubt and arrogance about her, however she was always loyal to the romulan people, even the "misguided" ones in the republic, but her actions has led to much distrust with her claim all the same, but even the iconians took her as well.

as far as the iconian gates are concerned, even the dominion realized such technology was more trouble then it was worth, several of them were destroyed over the years. the iconians wouldnt dare attack the dominion as its apparent the iconians dont have the overall strength to try which is why they stir the pot in the alpha and beta quadrants to get their homeworld back, try convert klingons into husks and exterminate any race that fails to comply and considering what was noted during sto, the bajorans and the humans would be at the top of that list. there are about thousand gates in the galaxy, most operate, some remain inactive or completely destroyed. the gateways are the key to victory or complete failure and since they wre all reset in the network to save dewa 3 from destruction which the iconians planned on, so another objective ticked, because either way the iconians won that round.

t'nae is distrustful, perhaps even resentful of romulans as a rule, shes arrogant enough to believe the romulans will not change and their backstabbing days are not over, thinking the republic has another hook to play and as a result she failed to notice several key things, that the new republic is trying very hard to get equality between the romulan outcasts and the remans and trying to convince the vulcans they are worthy of dialogue one day. but trying to convince a vulcan from his or her logical stump is like trying to push a 40 floor building off its foundation, its not gonna happen. i do not know what t'nae's opinion is so far and hopefully she has another bit role to find out what the vulcan position is.

there is a lot more i can write up if you want, a complete total wall of text.

    This may also help: http://sto.gamepedia.com/Hobus

I suggest (re)playing the missions "Revelation" (Requires a Romulan character) and "Ground Zero" (Requries a Starfleet character).
