good looking rifle/pistol?

imadude3imadude3 Member Posts: 829 Arc User
so i got a lot of good weapons, i got the MACO rifle/pulsewave, Omega carbine, Dyson rifle, all the elite phaser weapons, the dominion weapons, and even a few Voth weapons, but i feel like it's time for some something new, though i do realise that, with all the weapons already mentioned, it's kinda hard to find something.
anyone know of a good looking rifle/pistol that i have not mentioned? i like the design of the MK XI disruptors, but only the common quality ones, since the higher quality version's got alot of pointy things sticking out of it.

Personally i like the looks of the Elachi Rifle. It's also pretty effective.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

ah yes, the elachi weapons. if i remember right, the pistol pretty much looks like a classic sci-fi raygun

Can't go wrong with a good ol' hand phaser.

I love the classic tetryon rifles. So shiny and reflective. Also the TOS disruptor pistol looks nice.
And the elite disruptor dual pistols are the best looking weapons in the game, IMO. They are bugged and use the sniper rifle model instead of pistols. Sadly, they are KDF only.

The 23rd century Klingon disruptor pistol is pretty awesome too. As good as any compression pistol, looks gorgeous and makes the classic TOS sound with distortion waves in the air every time you fire it.

I like the look of my Nanite Disruptor Compression Pistol. It looks chunky, solid and a bit like the old "Lazer Tag" gun.

I personally like the look of my Anti-Proton dual pistols...they just look cool on the hips :D and drawing them out is pretty neat :P

agreed, the AP pistol model is really nice, especially since it's not so overly bulky like all the other non-special weapons

Speaking of the Adapted MACO PWA, I couldn't help but chuckle at the recycle-launcher animation...

Surely, I can't be the only player who dubs said versions 'catfish guns'. A similar criticism has, I understand, been leveled at the higher-end phasers with respect to their holographic addons; such as in this thread, which also touches upon the weapon models' sizes themselves...

Agreed; same goes for the pistols.

I also like the Romulan plasma weapons, but find the longarms' lack of stocks puzzling; it can't be that hard to design stocks that fit their aesthetic.

Related: with the exception noted above, PWAs have stocks for a reason - why are they hip-fired by default?

If you're playing as Klingon then this is an absolute winner:

For me voth antiproton weapons are very nice looking weapons, the original antiproton is hideous with its super soaker looks, elachi lobi hand cannon is a neat little gun, oh and the undine rep bio rifle looks good ( its looks are growing on ).

I've always liked the alternate phaser/disruptor weapon models - the ones that include the design now being used for Undine weapons. Like the phaser compression pistol. They are a bit generic and not very Star Trek but look good all the same.

Original antiproton are the "white blurr with red spots" weapons if i am not mistaken.
    I hate how those look.

I pick the yellow/light-brown disruptors, the non-dominion polaron rifle and pistol(without the slapped on part), the TOS phaser rifle, and Romulan disruptor pistol(TNG).

Oddly, I like them for that reason. Sure it looks like an "alien" weapon but it looks like a sci-fi weapon. I'm not overly found of things that are styled to look like real guns.

Anti-Proton Compression Pistol from the Borg ground gear looked neat. (I figure all AP Compression Pistols may look like that, but in case the Borg gear stuff looks different...)

I don't like how antiproton pistols clip through the hand like they do, or else I'd use them more often (except for the anti-borg pistols that have the thing on the tip of it that looks like a scope or scope mount). For looks, I like Phaser weapons. They just look so high-tech.
