Duty Officers No Longer Affect Pets?

irwin109irwin109 Member Posts: 518 Arc User
So it came to my attention today that the duty officer I have equipped (Biologist, debuffs recharge time by 50% for ten seconds) no longer seems to work on my Romulan Drone Ships... The D'off still works as I have another toon with scramble sensors on the ship and it still works for him, so it leads me to believe this was a 'stealth nerf' to d'offs affecting pets or an unexpected issue as I haven't seen anything about it in the patch notes, I thought I'd ask in General first to see if anyone can shed some light on this before sticking a post in the bugs reports section.

as far as i know. Flight Deck Officers were the only Doff that was supposed to affect pets in any way.

Hmm, that sucks, they've worked for so long they've become an integral part to my build =/ And it wasn't a cheap d'off either... Guess I'll have to adapt and conquer... Still a bit annoying.

It was a fix, the DOFFs were never meant to affect pets, in the same way your consoles don't affect their damage. The fact they did was the bug not the way it is now.

    Hardly a stealth patch:

Resolved an issue which was allowing carrier pets to inherit enhancements from their owners and retain them until despawned.

An example is when using Attack Patern Beta I, a carrier pet would inherit this power which is not meant to occur.

Maybe you should search before saying things. Cryptic is not the only one that does so called "stealth" fixes. Pretty much all games do.

The description of what has been changed is not very good then. But you're right. Cryptic did mention it this time.

Yeah not a great description from Cryptic but if that includes d'off powers I guess it's time to look for a new d'off, shame I was liking having something on my scim' to counteract sci' spam.

The DOFF powers count as enhancements, so they are included. They only gave an example, which is not meant to be an exhaustive list of what is or is not affected, that is covered by "enhancements".
