Can't. I'd like an option to turn it off though, like many of the other UI elements already have.

I just moved it behind my ship shield/health display. Can't see the thing now thankfully. Why they had to add it to more ships I do not know, especially as I only got it because of sensor analysis.

    Because people wanted it.

Now can they add the Vesta console abilities to that tray?

Like mentioned by someone else, I just move it behind something. However, it would be nice to make it something you can hide, since the powers can also be moved to your regular trays anyway.

Yeah, a whole tray you can't hide for 1 power is stupid. I had no problem with SA on my basic power tray. Not sure who was lobbying for this. Looks to me like a half-assed effort to put is somewhere.

There's a bug currently that hides the tray: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1111761

Although who knows if you'll ever be able to get it back, even if they fix the bug, so use at your own risk. :P

I moved mine around, I like it better since it frees up a tray slot for me.

It's ugly how it's positioned inside the special ship tray. Making it removable would be neat, too, since I don't really need it, but it is a good feature to have ultimately, since some people wanted it and can use it.

But I wonder if they shouldn't go back and rethink their UI trays a bit.

Some special abilities (like cruiser commands or innate subsystem targeting) are inside the weapon tray. Singularity powers have their own special tray. And then there is an extra special ship tray for other ships. That doesn't include cloak, even though it's an innate ability on many ships.
And all your special ship consoles go into the regular power trays.

But then I remember some of the character artist devs saying that the UI guys are always busy... I suppose they just never have the time to really do such a revamp...

I could understand adding it for the console powers, especially on a three part set. Why only for SA? That is the problem to me. If you could actually add console abilities fine as it is it is just a waste of screen space.

LOL. People wanted an USABLE extra try, not just something that its there and you cant do anything with it.. its just another try for cryptic uses, thats all.

It may be that we can't do much with it YET.

In other post people say that cryptic said that try is only for cryptic purposes.

It should have been added to the weapon try like other ship-specific abilities

If they want it on this special tray, the tray needs a hide option in the layout screen

I like it. I'd like it more if I could put more stuff in it, like set powers, special consoles, basically anything that isn't a standard captain power or boff power.

Pop yourself into a sci ship and you will get it with sensor analysis. It seems to be the one it works with now. I haven't seen it on my other ships yet.

If you want to Hide a UI element, just click the Hide button on the UI configuration screen.

Oh, you mean there's no Hide button on this element? Better file a bug report. ;)
