Any thoughts or chance on getting a couple of new Battle Zones added to the game?
Basically setup the same as the Dyson Ground and Space ones ... Run around with 2 BoFF's and any other players that happen to be there, or a "private" team instance and Capture Points ...
A Tholian Battle Zone on New Romulus - Capture or recapture 3 x Thermal Vents, to stop the Tholians from setting off seismic events or some such. Place them in a zone "down in the valley" where the Reman Enclave is perhaps?
Optional Romulan or Nukara marks?
... ... ...
A Borg Battle Zone with 3 x Assimilation Nodes, where you must stop the Borg from Assimilating Undine, maybe even with a partially assimilated Undine 'Boss" ...
Optional Undine or Omega marks?
...
As it currently stands, you can pretty much get all rep projects done withing the Tau Dewa sector. (or through a "magical" gateway to the maps for Omega Marks) But It's getting a little ... wearisome ... doing the same STF's all the time for Omega marks, but a Capture the Flag BZ would be fun!

I suggested it mainly because, well, with Dyson fer instance, you can get a bunch of friends together and run around killin' Dino's and make several hundred Dyson Marks in around 1/2 hour ...
Then the zone resets (The Voth will return! Dun, dun DUUUNNN!)
Same with the "space" or atmosphere version for Undine Marks, group of players, activate some KDF, Rom or Fed devices, blow up some Bioships and ... gravy ...
I'd just really like to see some similar zones and Objective/Capture Point/Tower Control/ Capture the Flag gameplay for Borg (Omega/Fleet) and Tholian (Nukara/Fleet) Marks.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
Use nimbus... give us a reason to go back as 50's <snip>
I don't need a reason to go back to Nimbus III. as I love going there and farming for Dil and just killin' Scorpions ...
But I agree that Nimbus III, is a great place, that could easily incorporate many Battle Zones.
I'd also like to see a PvP, or more precisely an " Captain & Away Team vs Captain & Away Team" zone, perhaps in Hassan's Palace? Open the 'Arena" up for Team vs Team ground combat?
But there are dozens of planets throughout the Alpha Quadrant alone that could be used for BZ's with almost no development required, as the "mechanics" are already in game, it would just need some dialogue's added, and some asset swaps (Voth <-> Borg) to turn them into fun zones ...

I like that idea.
Maybe turn it into an area where we can do these duels, doff, mine rocks etc. Then on the hour an enemy associated with a reputation attacks (Tholian, Borg, Elachi/Tal Shair/Solanae, Voth, Undine.) the zone and you need to defend it.
No offense to the OP, but I really hate to see more Battlezones, because they are already losing their luster.
Defera has proven the classic Open Zone is more successful with longevity. Where players are free to choose what mission they want and whom they want to group with. And they don't need to depend on Queues or common zone objectives like the Battlezones. Nukara might still be a popular location if Cryptic didn't nerf the Fleet Mark drops, turned the Hards into Queued events, and had lackluster reward drops.
So IMHO, they should follow the Defera model better for the other Reputation zones. With Defera, expand the zone to include new events, especially completing that Comm Array.
Nukara, redo the zone and slow down the Tholian spawn rates so players have a chance to breath and recover. Add new fun events, and have rewards be something people want to come there for. (Crystaline suits was good motivation for a while).
New Romulus, add more Defera-like events. For an example, one could be attacking the Tal-Shair's hidden base. Perhaps another could be an open zone that takes place within the Capital City, finding Tal Shair infiltrators. Or you taking that shuttle to a different part of the planet and having to stop a threat. Heck, maybe a giant predator? I mean something has to be a threat to those giant Nanov's, right?

No offense taken, as I welcome the feedback ...
I am of the opposite opinion on Defera, as i don't really like the lack of rewards vs effort ... My main reason for liking the Dyson BZ, and for Nimbus III for that matter, is that there is no requirement for you to 'group up' and there is , pretty much, always someone else running around those zones so it feels a bit more 'communal and they are much, much is easier to get rewards from ... Defera, like Nukara, would be better if they amped up the rewards a bit ...
Either way, I'd like to see more "open" zones, however they implement them ... Thanks again for the feedback.

Exactly this. Voth ground battlezone, I can jump in anytime... no need to team up, and there's always someone to join the fight in with... so yeppers devs.. make it so for Borg ground too, pretty please...

Sir, the Borg, they're here
My god man, do they want tea?
No sir, i don't know what they want, but they brought a flag.
See, what we need is more "Platoon" more 'Full Metal jacket" ... more ... "Mooreens" ...
In these zones ... where is the scarred veteran KHG warrior shouting ... " Here they come! Warm it all up! Everything you got!" ...
Or the grizzled Omega Vet ... looking at you and screaming 'Move you ape! What, you wanna live forever or something?"
I wanna' see a little cutscene with Cmdr Roxy eviscerating a Borg Drone then stepping over the body, to "dress you down" for being such a weakling puke, that she needed to save you!

I would like to see more ground battlezones, as the combat there is, in principle, very trek-like. Small teams fighting for key positions with shuttle/orbital support, and it is rather fun. They could tone down on the afformentioned "full metal jacket" nonsense (that commander guy in the voth battlezone is just too ridiculous) and should rather go with NPCs like Miles O'Brien and Sisko (""I am Chief Miles Edward O'Brien. I'm very much alive and I intend to stay that way." - "Amen. Let's get it done!" ).

That's partly why I disagreed with more Battlezones. Because they are too communal. For example, in the Voth Battlezone, the fighting over the Pink Balls, or the AFKers purposely leeching off the work of others.
The Second point, what happens to the Battlezones when people reached Tier 5 and bought everything they needed from the Reputation stores? Look at the Voth Battlezone, that's already happened and people are mostly there for Dilithium. If not for the Dilithium, it would be completely empty. We will surely see the Undine Space Battlezone be down to a few instances by the end of June.
Third concern is if you make too many Battlezones, it loses its originality and purpose. Lets say they did add a Borg and Nukara Battlezone, then who what happens to the Voth and Undine Battlezones? What happens to Defera and Nukara? What happens to the Queued events?
Cryptic needs to focus on long-term replayability and purpose. And I honestly don't believe Battlezones offer that, because they do not have room to evolve and expand for new content without a massive overhaul to the zone.
I can see your point, but I guess it comes down to what each player is trying to achieve ...
For instance, I'm currently working on my Dyson, Omega and Undine Reps ... Today I spent around 1 1/2 hours in the Dyson BZ's ... For that I got:
A little over 1000 combined Dyson and Undine Marks
17 VCI's
11 II's
And around 6500 Dilithium ...
Not to mention having to Replicator trash my inventory twice from all the random pickups which ended up netting me around 120K EC ... And in all that time, I was never once alone! On the ground there was at least 2 or more other Captains there, and the Undine "Space" zone was positively overflowing! (never seen so much rainbow coloured BFAW spam!)
You simply cannot get that with either Omega or Nukara!
I've almost given up on Nukara, simply because all the methods of obtaining Marks are so much a PITA, it's just not worth it!
...
Maybe the solution is to have both? Add zones similar to Defera and Nukara to the Voth and Tholian trees, and add Dyson Sphere type BZ's to the Omega and Nukara trees ... For someone leveling up their Rep, I have to say that the Dyson version is much. much more "noob" friendly ...
As for AFK'ers and Leechers, I'm afraid you will never get rid of them ...
PuG any STF or queued map often enough, and you'll see them, but in the end, they don't actually take anything out of your pocket, so I just ignore them ...

Would be soooo awesome I think ...
Have it rotate the bad guy so with any luck any and every mark can be earned there (one at a time)
Maybe the Tholians have found something beneath the surface and want us "gone" ?
or
Maybe the Borg want some easy drones, so they've decided to assimilate something "easy"?
or
Have an Elachi park a ship overhead and have them try to abduct us?
or
Maybe the Voth have managed to slip past our defences? Being one of the planets in the same sector, they want to set up a beachhead on Nimbus?
or...
Maybe the Undine just want to kill us?
