How do i unlock more of the Kit based costume parts?
I tried purchasing a new kit but that didn't do anything that I could see.
A Trill, a Gorn, a Jem'Hadar, Bejoran and a Voth walk into a bar, and the Bartender asks "What is this a Joke?"
"Nope, just my away team" the trill replies before ordering a round for the bar.
There is no way. WE could say now we have EVERY single part of every kit available for use. Before, we could only wear the kit parts of our toon class and it was limited by the kit you wear. So, no there are no more options to wear more kit costume pieces.
Ok... so what ever showed up on the character when S9 went live is what you get? I just find it odd my Engineer has options for the tac gear belts and not engineer belts
Oh well, Looks like I have to use a winter coat to get another decent looking belt or buy some expensive flowers either from the exchange or wait a month.

If you want the truth ... The whole thing is a complete FARCE! It has been totally bollixed up by the Devs, right from implementation.
As with a previous postee, I have Engineering Toons that have literally dozens of Tac and Sci kit parts, yet no Engi kit parts ... Same goes for Sci toons and Tac toons ... You have apparently only "half" of some sets, because you can use the "left" piece of one but there is no corresponding "right" piece? I don't recall EVER seeing a kit pre season 9, that only covered half the body ...
I then have some toons that Pre season 9 could wear, and actually owned, several different armours of different designs (polyalloy, energy dampening etc.) and now suddenly they only have 1 option?
Cryptic needs to pull the whole thing out and start again! It's totally messed up as is ... Flick the switch, and just have all armours available to all players and be done with it, or remove the whole stupid system and go back to the old visuals!
And don't even get me started on the joke (read: trolling by Cryptic) that is BoFF costume options!
What level are you? Many of the parts unlock as you progress through various ranks.
I have level 50 toons in Fed Engi, RomFed Tac, RomKlink Sci, Fed Tac, and most have at least Tier 2 or 3 in all reps except Undine.
The Fed Engi most particularly is my oldest toon, and she has completed all FE's and is T4 in most reps, still limited in wht she can wear though ... And it's very frustrating.

Please send me a PM with your character name and @handle. I'll ask our QA team to pull your character and investigate what pieces are unavailable and why.

Good guy Jeff goes the extra mile to making sure your kit pieces are available.

Indeed, and I've thanked him profusely, and do so again here, it's great to see that the Devs DO actually read and take notice of players concerns and issues, though they can't always answer them directly (not enough hours in the day for that!) but they do read them.
I'm just hoping that it IS a bug/error that can be investigated and fixed and not "normal" as that would be very disappointing to find out that the limits and missing pieces are intended.
Armor sets can only be applied to Off Duty costume slots. So, go to the "Head" menu in the tailor and change the costume type to Off Duty. You should then see a section for armor\suits.
