The Red Matter Capacitor has been a staple on every single one of my ships since 2010. It is great to have, and is arguably one of the most useful pre-order items from back in the day.

That said, the tooltip for it is misleading, since it does not return your disabled subsystems back online, and the Quartermaster doff that affects battery cooldown time does not affect the RMC.

It is still a nice device to have, however. To this day I still click it whenever I feel I need that extra bit of oomph in my subsystems.

It's pretty much the only thing worth equipping there.

I was going to say "yea, seems legit"... Then I saw this:

    The offer is 100% reliable

Kinda like buying a car at "honest sams".
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

I couldn't live without my RMC.

It's hard to say with these things on the 2nd hand market though, especially ebay.

i would say this is a case of you pay your money & take a chance, it just depends how much you are willing to risk on a possible loss.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

It is only at 1 Euro right now so the price is worth it even if the code is no good. Although by posting it on here, you might have some competition. Not from me since I already have one.

Look at his feedback, seems legit.

FYI, the "ExoComp" doff also has a nice effect - if you have 6 points+ in battery skills, then with the doff you'll get near 20 seconds of extra "oomph" :)

Yup, posting it in the one place where you'd find a high number of interest might not have been the smartest move. ;)

Are you familiar with how ebay feedback works? Unless this guy made dozens of dummy accounts, and then filled them with feedback. And not a single person who bought it (if it's a scam) didn't leave bad feedback - then it's real.

Thats the thing with these, some sellers looking to offload something quickly will go to the troubble, or already have these accounts set up and its a simple matter of playing the cup game.

Now it is at 15.5 Euro. So posting it here might not have been a smart idea. Although there is no way to know how many saw it here and how many saw it on Ebay.

My engi uses batteries like crazy. Since they added that trait to give a power boost to every system I've made him a battery star. I even equipped some console/devices to enhance this quality which makes all the difference in defense and offense. The addition of batteries to the warp cores was a nice addition for this as well.

I use each battery as they become available and use 1 skill that's essential which is AtBat with the Doff that improves cooldowns. It's really great because the battery power fills all of the bars, the skills are then enhanced, and then when that one is down I use the skill that engis come with to improve power all around, and then I use another battery.

I'm pretty sure it does repair your sub systems when they go off line. Not sure about all sub systems but I'm pretty sure my weapons came back after I clicked it... it was a white bar meaning no energy, click and blue again and ship started pew pewing again.

I apologize to all of those out there now who have to pay real collector's edition prices for the RMC as I was able to pick it up just before F2P for 3.00$ :(

I thought WoW's forums had angry elitist snobs, but I never could have imagined the level STO forums has.

They haven't been repaired for the past four years every time I've used the RMC.

That is only 1 subsystem, and it could easily be explained as any number of things not directly related to your RMC.

Point is, the RMC does not work as advertised and never did.

It's still early, but this may, in fact, be the stupidest thing I have read all day.

I don't think it is worth the risk. The money is the least risky thing. The greatest risk is that one might download an "RMC virus" (and here we all thought ARC was bad!) My suggestion, instead of buying the RMC (potential virus?), read as many posts as you care to read on tactics, techniques and strategies, talk to experienced/ succesful captains, observe what works for you, and more importantly, what has been used very effectively against you, adapt a build, tactics and develop a skill level that will make the RMC irrelevant. It is the man and not the weapon that wins the fight. A lousy captain in an excellent ship will alwaays lose to an excellent captain in a lousy ship. What is this obsession with the RMC?
    ANOTHER NERF !?!

I think you spoke too soon Iconians.

Everyone knows entering a serial key for ingame goodies can be a virus. Really, really undercover. Or maybe the shortest program code ever seen.
