Objects floating in air

[Deleted User][Deleted User] Posts: 0 Arc User
On the foundry, there is a map called Facility 4028. I was using the map to be a massive HQ in the story. But ANY objects I added to the map, even something as simple as a table, would float about 2 feet off the ground. I looked at the Y axis and it reads "0" on everything. I even cycled through the different placement options such as "Zero Altitude" "Platform" and "Legacy Platform". Nothing seems to work and it's really starting to irritate me.

Also, I cannot seem to place and NPCs on any other level except the ground level. On Facility 4028, there are many walkways and overhangs for players to stand on. And I cannot place any NPCs on any of those walkways. Again, I cycled through the "Platform", "Legacy Platform", ect. But nothing seems to work.

Is there a solution for this?

The Story ID is: ST-HNPDDQM6J

On that map 0 might not be the gruond since there's a lot of vertical movement. Just try changing the y value to be lower. Remove snap to grid if necessary.

The problem with Facility 4028 is that much of it is below the 0 Y value. You have to use negative numbers.

I remembered that someone had posted some Y values they had found when using the map. I searched and found this that primar13 posted:
Level 1- Left Transporter_________________ Floor at -1
Level 2 Main Holding ____________________ Floor at -25
Level 3 Right Transporter ________________ Floor at -50

That map is a pain to build with. I tried for an afternoon and gave up.

Yeah, I tinkered with it out of curiosity, and it's like drogyn said, you need to use negative numbers with relative to 0. For whatever reason it doesn't work right when you do it the other way.
