Starfleet Impossible Species......

So today in ESD(which I dread now, but that's another topic) I was in the Exchange room, and I looked over and there was a Gorn with a Starfleet uniform on. I didn't take a screenshot, so I apologize, and I don't think he was a commonly seen Dev either. First thought was some new holoprojector, so I checked the buffs under his name, and there was nothing. Then I looked in his info, and he had a full on bio about how he was a mirror Gorn who applied to starfleet after being rescued in the prime universe. Did they add new races in the alien setup that I missed? If so Im deleting one of my 20 and making a new character right now.

I thought WoW's forums had angry elitist snobs, but I never could have imagined the level STO forums has.

    ...well that's odd.

It may be some sort of veteran reward.

Now you are going to make me want to patch Season 9 just to see if the Alien has Gorn parts... :)
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Probably a holdover from one of the tailor exploits that's popped up from time to time. I know some players were able to create Gorn(ish) characters if they knew how to unlock all the tailor options.
You're right. The work here is very important.

Seems like a bug to me.

I have encountered a character with a Gorn head and a naked upper body a good while back. it was a bug then and it is a bug now if you can still create toons like that.

Saw soemthing that looked like the Super Mario Bros. movie Goomba one time on old ESD. Actually got a screenshot of it too! I'd link it, but Steam's having a couple issues right now.

If memory serves, at one point you could send along a /command or something and it would ignore the Uniform/Casual Wear restrictions and such at the tailor.

Nowadays said costumes would be 'not legal' by the system (as the 'bug' has been fixed), but you could still bring them up and wear them (they weren't blanked or anything). You just can't edit them anymore.
