Old Token Ships

colonelchenchuancolonelchenchuan Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Hey yall, If anyone could help it would be appreciated.

Back in the day we EARNED Tokens that could be used buy ships. Examples would be the Defiant, the "Voyager" Long range sci or the Karfi Carrier.

Now soon after they were released a lot of this stuff was moved to the Cryptic store and eventually became the Zen store.

My issue is that I don't get the "AVAILABLE" option - likely since I never bought thru the store. I would like to delete the ships since I never use them but don't want to have to pay 2000 Zen should I ever want them for any reason.

Are people who bought them with tokens just SOL?

Are they even the exact same ships?

LOL... trying to ask in game but so many people have never known a time without Zen and are like tokens, whats a token?

if you delete these ships, they are gone for good...no refund, nothing. BUT you can keep the consoles they came with and maybe buy a fleet version of those ships later and use the consoles on them.

defiant is actually great in this case, since the cloak is usable on 2 other fed ships.

i personally bought the multivector escort with tokens, and only kept the console...now i use the console on the fleet version of the same ship

i think you asked the same question in the NoP public service.

zen ships are always re-claimable, lockbox ships not

i had that issue myself, and after turning off demand patching i did a force verify. so it patched the whole thing again took long and made a forced respec after wards. but some bugs where away then..

and since then i had the "available" for the zen ships again. so that i can delete them without having fear of losing one. but that only is for ships i bought with real zen. NOT the ships that i got via the lifetime vice admiral ship token. these ships are a one time 2500 zen ship, if you discard that its lost.

so maybe you are lifer and the specific ship you want to discard is the vice admiral token ship ( no not the veteran bonus ship)

or does it happen to ALL your zen ships that the available button is not there anymore?

as the token ones that are bound to zen ships purchases are not reclaimable.

no...you are talking about something completely different any ships I bought with zen or got as reward are fine. This goes back to the games first year and the first wave of new ships. These were not freebies you got for ranking up. We were given a "Token" and Feds could pick either the Defiant or "Voyager" and KDF had the Karfi. Once they had created enough items they opened a "store". Its similar to old the ships costumes - which really they should bring back because that's something I would spend money on.

Im pretty sure the other poster is correct and we are just SOL for being here from the get go. Just the announcement about the free slots got me doing maintence.

If you're a Lifetime member, or Gold member, you still get that token, but if you get rid of the ship it's gone for good.

That's correct, you cannot reclaim a ship bought with a token. You never could, actually, even before they were token ships or in the C-Store. Just like you can't reclaim the ones you get for free as you level up, if you delete them they are gone for good.

And on a side note: It was always like this.

    Once gone, it's gone...
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

The way the system used to work was that we received a ship Token when we reached VA. You had a choice of T5 Intrepid, Galaxy, or Defiant on the Fed side. When the game went FTP the VA Token was stopped and it was turned into a 600 Day Vet Reward Token. Whether pre or post FTP if you deleted the VA Token ship it was gone forever. The only way to get it back was/is to buy it from the C-Store.

The VA Token ship also does not give you a discount on Fleet Modules.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

i got a defiant retro from back the day with its cloak on one of my toons, still have it, when i can sort that character out at some point. i cant get a fleet defiant without some fleet provision, standard modules and some credits, all that will cost a lot on top of buying the retro defiant. so really its a mountain and a bit to climb.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

why don't you simply spend the 4 feet ship modules...buy them on the exchange. 30 millions should do the trick and you can use the cloak on it.

no way you will ever get the ship WITHOUT fleet provisions...which are abundent in any fleet.
That "mountain" actually is a little hill...and there is a highway over it...just ride it, you are half way there anyway already.

price tag for you: 4 fleet ship modules, 1 fleet ship provision (don't even count that)...and an invite to a fleet with T3 or T4 fleet shipyard...which some offer for free by now already.

you would think that, but to a lonewolf with his back to the wall everytime with limited resources and no time to get around to most of it at any given time...

30 million may not seem like much to you to gather, to me 200k is an accomplishment in itself if i can keep from spending it each day. i know about some events i could run to get upto 600k a day but i dont have the time to spend all day foundry farming for example. as far as the fleet provision goes, that can be in exchange for dilithium to someones fleet project somewhere so thats a non-issue. the one i will have an issue with is fleet credits, but still have that dummy fleet to funnel credits from when needed, but the lack of resources means at this time that isnt possible.
