Hourly Rep projects unseless...?

vedauwoovedauwoo Member Posts: 215 Arc User
Isn't it just a waste to do these hourlies? Considering 15 to 20 marks only nets 200 Rep points....and even that is only available 3 times a day.....

Would it not just be more practical to only slot the 20h projects that net 2000 rep XP for every 30 Marks?

Just seems like the 200 rep XP payoff is too small and not available enough per day to make it useful for anything other than the free item boxes....

It's a way to get some more dil (if you're willing to wait and pay some EC and expertise, you get far more dil per marks than with the 15 sec mark converting to dil project) and for those few who just want to get to Tier 5 rep as fast as possible.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

This is what I do. I only do the one with a 20 hour cool down. Since I only play 1-2 hours per day and about 2 days per week. It don't matter to me. Since by the time I do the mission to get points. Then do the rep. By then I'm either getting off the game or it won't be long before I do. I been doing it this way since the Reps first started. Now if I already have the points. I do the Rep collect and set up for the next round soon as I log on. Then hop on another character to play that one. Either getting points for their rep, gathering dil, or leveling.

You get Dilithium and a box containing rep gear for completing them, and it speeds up the process of grinding up a bit.

If you rather want to hold your Marks back to later do the big equipment projects, that is a valid choice. At least I think it is, because I do it like that. :)

200RP - Well, that's another 600RP closer to your goal each day, plus there's the Dilithium and the Equipment that comes from completing them. 1-3 less pieces of Equipment to buy from the Store, if you want them; if not, you can recycle them and then you got EC out of the effort, too.

If you're doing the Rep from a Sponsorship Token, then you're earning 400RP per Hourly, so that's another 1200RP each day, added to what would then be 4000RP for your Daily, is 5200RP each day, plus the Dilithium and the Equipment.

In the end, it's really up to you as to what you feel is worth your effort.

On your first toon it is 200 but if you get token it will be 400. But i mainly do the daily and do hourly only if I'm close to leveling rep tier.

It's no big deal, if I'm playing for a few hours, I'll do them, if not, not.

Actually, the daily is 5k, so 6.2k per day max.

They're worth it for the dil. 15 marks for 300+ dil? 500+ under the dil bonus? Sooooold!

yep they give dil and items and the items are worth more then the ec you put in so relly your making ec and dill and some rep from them well worth it. they did them because people liked them in the Dyson rep and they give a good balance for those that wanna grind there rep as fast as possible and those that don't.
