Forget that logic, how about the logic of them sticking around after the Undine one-shotted one of their DNs.

We use the term "dinosaur" to describe outdated, failed logic for a reason. Right?

What I think is funny (in a sick way) is each one of those Citadel ships is a city, a whole community of Voth, (Unless of course these are militarised versions carrying troops). Still, it seems like they are basically tossing their population away.

They saw how well it worked on the Galaxy class, and couldn't resist going the "send entire families into combat zones" thing one (or more) better.

Is it any less dumb than us running ten feet away from an enemy attack and sitting quietly as our own hull repairs and pray no straggler ship glides within a 10 kil. range and notices you?

Well if their forces were only decimated that would be no reason to worry. I mean losing a tenth of your total fleet strength is hardly cause for concern.
Now if their forces were devastated, obliterated, or annihilated that would be another matter.
Forget that logic, how about the logic of them sticking around after the Undine one-shotted one of their DNs.
I suppose they are wondering how we survive the same Undines. And yet we haev a lot less resistance than a DN.
I know I would be intrigued, but then, they never heard of plot weapons.
I have to admit I had a little chuckle to myself when the voth forces arrived at the end to a massive fleet of scimitars, oddys, jem dreads, kumaris plus a load of others.
One has to wonder who that voth is that issues the order "destroy all the primates" etc etc. Did he even SEE his scanners as to what he was sending thousands upon thousands of his men into?
We didn't even have to move (aside from to miss exploding voth ships).
"If this will be our end, then I will have them make SUCH an end as to be worthy of rememberance! Out of torpedos you say?! Find me the ferengi!".

Actually, now I'm reminded of this exchange from "Wormhole X-Treme!":
MARLOWE: That's exactly what I said, so why aren't the aliens ever in camouflage?
MARTIN: Oh, I--I fought for that, uh, Nick. But, the studio wants the aliens seen.
MARLOWE: An alien wouldn't want to be seen, Martin. Think!
JACK O'NEILL: Maybe that's why they're dead.

Sadly, that wouldn't be the first time a small force try to take on a bigger one with impossible odds on the simple belief they are better than the others. And failed.
Children crusade comes to mind. How a ragtag band of kids would take on an entire Empire ? Well, they thought they were protected by God.
Guess what ? They were not.
Happened all the time. God is on our side, we have superior technology (US vs Vietnam), or we are superior than you (WWII Germany vs the rest of the world).
It's not difficult to imagine the Voths (feed up with propaganda) think they are so superior than us and think victory is at hand.

On the other hand, they are basically fanatics.
Don't be ridiculous. We all know the Voth can feign death and slip into a healing coma only to revive themselves even after being vaporized by ground weapons. Why should it be any different for their crews when one of their ships are blown up?
