Hello, wrote about it once in the Season 9 thread, but decided to ask once again anyway.
The game ran perfectly fine before Season 9 launch. Then, after download and running it once for an hour, and a second time again for an hour, it crashed at the Cryptic loadscreen (around 50%) when tried to run it a third time.
Reinstalled - the same. Two runs and a crash. Tried tech support, sent them dxdiag.
Answer - run in sae mode, check drivers, disable firewall, etc. Tried all this before asking for tech support. My rig ran STO perfectly fine in Season 8, so it must something from that new season update.
Any ideas?
So the error is so unique it generated no response?
No matter, uninstalled STO for the time being, will check-in within
a month if the game is at least close to being playable.
For now, returned to Star Wars Old Republic, it's pretty dull,
repetitive, but at least it works without technical issues for me.

Are you running a VoIP called mumble. If so close mumble and try logging in. Start mumble after the game is loaded. I have had a similar problem and found out it was my VoIP. I am currently running test to see if it is mumble's overlay. But shutting it down until I am in game seems to work.
