TRIBBLE Maintenance and Release Notes - April 29, 2014

We will be bringing down the Tribble server for maintenance to apply a new update: ST.40.20140330a.28

General:
  • Resolved an issue that was causing Hourly XP Projects to have far longer cooldown periods than intended.
    • When this fix is applied, all cooldowns will automatically recalculate to 20 hours from the appropriate cooldown start period.
  • Resolved an issue which was causing Federation captains to not be able to complete promotion missions.
  • Resolved an issue which was blocking completion credit to all Fleet Action daily missions such as The Big Dig, Gorn Minefield, and Klingon Scout Force.
  • Resolved an issue which was blocking the replay for the episode “Fluid Dynamics” for KDF captains.
  • Joysticks once again work as they did prior to the Season 9 launch.
  • Undine Space Battlezone:
    • Rewards for defeating all 3 planet killers will now be given right after they are defeated, instead of after the Voth Invasion is completed.
    • Resolved an issue where a floating Aenar would eerily observe players fighting in the Voth stage of the zone.
    • Resolved an issue where rewards were not being properly given out for completing the Voth Invasion open mission.
    • Resolved an issue where players would randomly be rewarded for completion of a Federation point, even if they had not participated in it.
    • Resolved an issue during the Planet Killer boss fight where the Klingon stage would be skipped.
  • Telekinesis can once again be slotted as an active trait for the races which have this trait.
  • Episode “Where Angels Fear to Tread”:
    • Resolved an issue where the VO did not always match the gender for the Romulan Prisoner.
    • Created infected Romulan Republic and Tal Shiar Commander costumes for the npcs in this episode.
  • 8472 Counter-Command Reputation:
    • Added text to the Item and Project descriptions for each piece of the Ground Set.
      • You must obtain all 3 pieces of the set in order to earn a Tailor Unlock that will allow you to display the armor visuals.
      • Also added this information to the Info contact, accessible from the Reputation UI.
  • Resolved an issue that caused the player Undine Bio-Warship and Undine Bio-Cruiser to not benefit from Improved Hull Regeneration.
    • These ships now correctly benefit from a minor out of combat hull regeneration.
      • You might have to transfer maps at least once before this power takes effect.
  • The audio for the Fluidic Beam Burst for the Fluidic Antiproton Wrist Lance now syncs up with the FX.
  • Active traits will no longer appear in the powers list unless they are slotted in the traits window.
  • Fleet Featured Projects are now set to a new rotation:
    • Dilithium Mine, Embassy, Spire, and Starbase Fleet Holdings will all have 1 Featured project apiece to slot and will rotate every 2 weeks.
      • In addition, Fleet Starbase will have a second featured project always available; Room with a View.
    • These are all projects which have previously existed.
    • If your fleet has already completed these projects, they will not appear in the list of special projects to slot.
    • This began with the launch of Season 9 but was not noted in release notes.

Foundry:
    • The door to Quinn’s old office has now been hooked to a new location on new ESD for Foundry missions.
    [*]The door has been moved to the Bridge Officer Requisitions Office in the lower level of Ops.
    [*]Foundry objects and doors have been renamed around ESD to be more descriptive of what they are now.


    Known Issues:
    • New kit modules and frames do not have their own search category in the Exchange.
    • Captains cannot equip more than one of a non-unique duty officer at once.
    • Active Reputation Powers are not placed into your tray when selected in the Traits window.
      • They can be slotted by dragging them from the powers list into the tray.
    • Some backgrounds in interact windows with NPCs on new ESD still show old ESD backgrounds.
    • Kits in your inventory cannot be equipped by double-clicking on them.
      • You can drag and drop slot them.

      Foundry objects and doors have been renamed around ESD to be more descriptive of what they are now.

      Please tell me the plant in Quinn's office is still an his Prized Andorian Orchid.

      Actually I can't replay it with any character...

      I like this excellent feedback! Being programmer myself for many, many years good job here guys.

      I have some issues I've seen so far.

      1. Big Tray #1 and Big Tray #2 UI use in space battles for Science, Tactical and Engineering control items will not stay put. Items are saved then locked. When you return to the game mission items are gone. Like the trays are not saving your items in the correct order or they're not being place back where they should be.

      2. Planet Patrol missions or even the newer missions the area you have set to launch a new enemy target should be widen, because if you are fighting then you go in the wrong direction system will not launch another enemy and actually anything on the screen will vanish! So you stay here for hours waiting. Most just leave or you can warp out then start it again. Most times the game will start where you left off. Sometimes you just start fresh again.

      3. Surface Tension in the last battle at KDF side the next wave of Undeen never started. I had to warp out then I was in sector space the system said did you want to continue Surface Tension. I did and found out I ended up redoing KDF first wave again.

      3a. Surface Tension Conference starts the deligate from Ferengi speaks, you can't see him. But he's speaking and the CC where he is speaking is present just the the object of the Ferengi that is gone. I only seen him once when I had started playing Surface Tension. Never again under Fed, Rom or KDF sides he has never appeared.

      4. Fluid Dynamics, under Romulan player if you put your ship into cloak at the last battle and try to go after the large fortress then you can't uncloak your ship.

      5. Dyson Sphere, in Nimbus Sector, needs to be larger to handle the vast number of ships surrounding it. Since Season 9 has started can't find it or navigate to it won't lock on to it. I have to manually move around until the popup dialog box shows to enter the dyson sphere.

      6. Fluid Dynamics, same goes for this mission can't lock on to the location or when you get there can't get the mission to start if it is surround by vast number of ships.

      'Jiggity' power trays (looks like it vibrates up and down - only affects certain people)

      KLINGON ADAPTED HELMET "for me" STILL NOT ABLE TO BE SELECTED IN TAILOR FIX!!!

      GALAXY X VISUALS STILL NOT FIXED.. FIX PLS

      sorry for the caps but I need to really get this out there so itll get done, rather sit in the back of the room and not get fixed.

      A lot of us still can't create private queues for Undine Assault.

      Also, Orions still don't appear to have a racial trait.

      Change the interface scale in the options. You can change it back afterwards and it fixes the problem with the shaking tray.

      No word on the trait bugs for Orions Females (missing traits Seductive and Seduce) and the Ferengi stuck racial trait "Lobes"?

      Teams greater than 2 in number are able to Queue up in the Solo and Duo PVP arena maps.

      If active powers now require their traits, I hope the Orion female bug is fixed.

      My traits window displays no racial traits for her, and Seduce isn't available. It's not a big deal right now, since she still can use the power, but I hope they're fixed concurrently.

      Generally speaking, pretty nice fixes inbound though I've fixed the known issues for you. :P
      Known Issues:
      • New kit modules and frames do not have their own search category in the Exchange.
      • Captains cannot equip more than one of a non-unique duty officer at once.
      • Active Reputation Powers are not placed into your tray when selected in the Traits window.
        • They can be slotted by dragging them from the powers list into the tray.
      • Some backgrounds in interact windows with NPCs on new ESD still show old ESD backgrounds.
      • Kits in your inventory cannot be equipped by double-clicking on them.
        • You can drag and drop slot them.
      • The Exchange is lagging a lot and is practically unusable most of the time.
      • Some KDF toons still have unusable costume slots.
      • Some species still have issues with missing or locked in traits which cannot be removed.
        • Notably the Ferengi Tactical characters cannot remove the Lobes trait.
      • Certain species still have missing costume pieces.
        • There are also missing colour palette options for numerous species on the items they do have available.
      • The loadout system occasionally removes items/BOFFS on map changes.
      Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
      True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

      Just to throw it out there if the devs aren't aware. The Jem'hadar Ground Set Visuals for the Mk XII are no longer available because of the disabling of visuals on armor. Can we please have a method to getting them in the tailor? Thanks.

      Edit:

      PS - Can you also possibly just add the rest of the Jem'hadar visuals while you are at it (like proper horns and skin texture?) That's all I really need to make a convincing Jem'hadar character.

      Awww, I thought the female Romulan speaking with a male voice was intentional to show just how sadistic the Tal Shiar were. "Not only were they testing Borg tech on us, they also gave me a sex change for no reason!"
      This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

      So my remans are going to continue to have a stuck Resiliant trait that I don't want and can't remove and the graphics engine is going to continue to be in a broken state that drops FPS to single digits if there are more than a handful of ships around. S9 really off to a great start.

      Some good fixes here, so thanks for them :)

      I still have two locked costume slots on one of my KDF characters though, and it would still be good to see the Be'ves costume options fixed once and for all. Mind you there is a lot of bugs in the tailor so maybe see the tailor generally put under the known issues at least?

      I have a issue that is bugging me
      BOffs passive traits no longer show when you go to the look at them, this is for BOffs that are part of your crew not one that are not.

      While I love to see bug fixes, they are missing the most important one,why can I not play on jig graphics settings. FPS has dropped so much som stuff is unbearable to play. I use to be able to handle north in NWS and see all the ships powers and animations of my team and the enemy. It ran smooth prior to season nine, now FPS is down with a lot of animations missing. If it is not fixed why is it not in the know issues section?

      Some good fixes indeed. Hope the loadout fix follows soon though.
      This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

      There's also a problem with the exchange at the moment, myself and several friends are having the same problems, so I know it's not just me:
      1. Sorting by Descending price per unit is actually Ascending price per unit, and vice versa.
      2. Items not showing up. Searching for an item revealed that the lowest price on the exchange was 11,000 EC, despite myself and a friend having several each up for 10,000.
      3. Narrowing results by quality (possibly by rank as well, haven't tested) doesn't work any more. It shows very few, if any, results. So one has to search through all of the lower quality items to get to the rare and very rare items.

      What? I thought that was a feature, not a bug...

      Before the skill was just grayed-out. Now you expect us to slot it to the power tray every time we decide to activate it in the traits window?

      I mean, what is wrong with the way it is now?

      Thank you for the VO fix, that Romulan female sounding like a Saiyan warrior was bugging me.

      Is anyone else having a massive slowdown problem in the Kelvani Belt?

      For those having graphics slowdown, try:

      Options > Graphics > GPU-accelerated particles (OFF)

      Basically your processor is better than your video card.

      No mention whatsoever about the stealth changes done to Breach Elite?? and the mega buff given to Voth turrets and ships in the instance?? Making the instance almost undoable by most or so frustrating that players just leave before phase 1 is complete??

      Or the issues with Undine assault and the fact command ships can stop moving forward in their lanes and the endless spawn of undine ships in each lane can make it impossible to finish the instance ?

      please, get someone new working on the tailor. It just gets worse with every update. Its become a complete aggravation for KDF/KDF-Rom Characters.
      • Palettes often aren't correct for items - ie the color choices don't really match the item. ie we get the full palette for something metal but the limited palette for something that is supposed to be a light
      • Romulans are stuck with the limited KDF palette making consistency hard. Just give us the Romulan palette for all items. we aren't Klingons
      • Item colors are inexplicatly linked - much worse for KDF-Roms. ie editing a wrist attached changes your shoulder pads, editing a belt changes your shirt
      • Many items have extra color choices that don't do anything (but some are linked to other items)
      • Using the undo button often doesn't just undo the change but changes your character entirely.
      • Some Romulan BOs are stuck being non-aligned and do not have KDF-Rom uniform options
      • Not all BOs have the kit options


      • And please, please, please allow us to turn off basic mode. I don't want your presets and I don't want to see those heads on every screen.
