Yay! 1K!

bluegeekbluegeek Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Finally! I have reached that 1000 day subscriber milestone as of today!

I'm geeked about finally getting a chance to try out those Vet ships. :D

I'm probably one of the last people to get their 1K the hard way... yes, an LTS would've been cheaper and smarter, but I'm just glad I got here at all!

My wife is giving me a hard time about being such a geek, but I don't care...

I AM GEEK, HEAR ME ROAR!

i hate to state it to a mod bluegeek, but this doesnt directly or indirectly impact STO general discussion. move it to ten forward :P.

congrats on hitting 1k days anyways.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

The 1000 day veteran rewards don't relate to STO?

a player looking for congratulations in general has no direct impact on sto, otherwise we would be getting hundreds of player threads about it :D.

All Vet rewards, relate to STO - be directly (3 New ships to fly), or indirectly (pointless spammable firework).

@Blue - The ships are ok, can be good fun to fly. The only thing is they are locked to a damage of empire specific types.

If you want a test dummy to try out configs on, give me a shout, I'm free from in hour for the rest of the night.

    Congratz on 1,000 day Vet!

That is $500.00 you will never get back. :)

Now you just need Cryptic to add a 1,500 day prize to the list to really mess with you. :D
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Gratz Bluegeek. The Chimera/Peghqu/Daenios are fine starships, and you now also get access to their fleet counterparts at a discount, I believe.

Oh, and the Chimera isn't the ugliest ship. The Peghqu in Tactical mode is.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.

EASY fella... I also got my Veteran ship the hard way, by waiting 1000 days.

Just because one is a LTS dosen't mean that some of us didn have to wait too... I hit 1000 days, a few weeks before they changed the rules...

So... Me and my veteran ship "U.S.S. 1000-day wait" greet you welcome, and congratulations on your new ship.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Oh, I totally get that. No offense intended.

I'm just having my own little geek party in my head and I'm happy enough to spread my joy -- or something -- around.

I can claim one for each of my 50's, right? Fed, KDF, and Rom?

Yep. You can also dismiss it and reclaim it later just like C-store ships. You do have to ask the shipyard NPC for another token to reclaim it, but the token is free. Not the fleet version though, that's the same single character unlock as all the other fleet ships are.

Yup, one fleet module and a tier 2 spire, I believe.

And the destroyers are fine ships.

To get the most out of them you have to go faction specific energy type, but thats not necessarily a bad thing.

the best gift they could give you when you reach 1000 days the hard way in a free upgrade to lifetime subscription, you have certainly paid enough to earn it, its just a pity it will never happen.

at the end of the day apart from the monthly stipend there is very little reason to sub beyond 1000 days, this is why many subbers stop subing after that point anyway.

as most of your subbing bennefits stay with you when you go ftp and what doesent can be paid for with a few zen they would not be losing much giving you the upgrade and being as you have paid well over the top of lifetimes one off price it only seems fair.

it would certainly be the best incentive to users who are paying monthly subs to continue paying on to the 1000 day mark.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

I agree... it will never happen.

I do wish they had offered pro-rated discounts on LTS, though. I would've done that a long time ago, as soon as I could have afforded it.

Quitting the game long enough to save up for an LTS was a no-go :D

I'm LTS, but since I first subscribed in February 2010 (and went LTS in April 2011), I'm a legit 1k now as well. Now, to find an actual use for that veteran ship...

The vet ships are really bad compared to fleet ships and the lockbox ships. Their stats are not all that great and they have really bad bof layouts. Ask any hardcore pvper or pve player no one uses those steaming piles of TRIBBLE in game.

Dude... I was messing with you... I am happy to see someone making it there, and being as happy about it as I were.

You can claim and dismiss it as much or as little as you want... It's the same as a regular C-Store ship.

And of cause theres the spire variant that you need to dish out money for.

I slapped the Chimera on a usless Alt , and designated him my Currier/Tour of the Universe guy -- and really , the Chimera is so unusual that I have no problem seeing it as a currier ship ... .

The Rommie one , now that one is a true beauty !!

Speaking as one who owns no fleet ships or lockbox ships (MU's don't count), I'll take 'em, try 'em, and dock 'em if I don't like flying 'em.
