My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
Are the XII purple gear no longer dropping in the game? If so, what is the reason?
I ran 3 ground STFs and the best gear I and my group received were blue XII gear. What's up?
Bad luck is what's up. The RNG doesn't like you today. They're still dropping.

First, I am talking about ground and not space. Second, all 5 team members only received blue xii for each of the STF runs. Prior to S9, at least 1 person was getting something purple. It does sound like a nerf, but there isn't any documentation on it that I have found. Just interested to know if this is going to be common practice, and if there is a way to get purple xii ground gear.
Just got VR XII kit, Undine Infiltration STF. So in theory, yes you can still get drops.
Now if only the exchange was capable of separating kits from krap...
Actually, that's good news. At least now, I know that someone can pick up VR XII gear in Undine Infiltration STF. Just wondering if the Borg ground STFs will have them too.

I don't think its a nerf. that just sounds like my luck. Over the 14 months that I have played, I have received less than 30 purple mk xii pieces of gear. So, no nerf here, just same as it ever was.
They should be rewarding a minimum of MKXII Green and up.
When fleet gear openly dishes out MKXII and even the stores do the same. Rewarding the players with anything less is just pathetic.
It is bad enough the RNG can give you anything from a ground weapon to a full space weapon with random attributes but throwing in they are bound to character AND can dish out things that are worthless just makes it worse.
As it is, I end up vendor trashing the majority of anything I get in those boxes because I have better or can get better more reliably.
Result: I dont need to run those hourly pieces of garbage missions unless they give rep... which they dont.

*cough* NERF *cough*
Methinks your sample size is a little on the small side...

I got a VR XII Photon Torpedo launcher this morning. So maybe you're just unlucky.
Who would have thought it?

Thank you for letting me know.

Fleet items are called "Ultra Rare". Are they really "Ultra Rare"? I think NO.
